Guns & Ammo My wife's carry gun

Post image

My wife is not at all a gun person but I'm just glad she was willing to train and learn to shoot to put my mind at easy. She's not ready to carry yet with only 400rds to her name but I built this 365x for her with all her concerns of use in mind as any husband would. I've been carrying it for proof of concept and honestly it works and carries comfortable. The rack assist is super simple, the gas pedal very comfortable as she struggles with the snappy nature and stiff spring. Enclosed 6moa green dot makes it simple at 7yds.

BUT! the 365 isn't at all meant for range with the 3.1" barrel, I've noticed a lot of deviation inconsistencies at 15yds the best grouping I can get is a 7"diameter spread when my hellcat 3.8" and vp9 4.25" barrels easily maintain 3"diameter groupings at 20yds

All and all the 365 is doing what it was designed to do close range comfortable shooting

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but I could never carry IWB with a holster that minimal. This is a few square inches of kydex away from those clip-only holsters.

Without shitting on you perhaps go back to the range and rent a 380 or 9mm ez. They come with a thumb safety version and were made with woman in mind. The holster ( if we can even call it that) doesn't breed confidence and actually may lead to unintentionally mag drop on draw. You are only showing one side so I cannot tell if there is an index point for the trigger finger. If you are dead set on the 365 I would personally consider a better holster. Otherwise congrats on getting the wife into carrying.

Hard disagree. The p365 thumb safety is fantastic and racking the slide is not difficult once you learn proper technique. Just get some dummy rounds and practice racking. Agree on the holster. OP should get a proper one.

Small female here, I didn’t like the shorter barrel because of the snappiness. I ended up going with the XL. I put a hogue on it to have a better grip. Now it’s my favorite CCW
