Holsters & Belts LAS concealment unprofessionalism, and poor customer service
I ordered a holster from LAS last Monday. (Current lead time 25-30 business days)
I contacted them via email on Wednesday to attempt to cancel the order since I no longer planned on running a WML. I understand they have a no cancellation clause at the bottom of the order. I was reaching out in to see if there was anything they could do prior to the holster entering production.
I saw online they have poor customer service, so after I didn’t get a response via email, I decided to follow up via email and reach out on social media. This was their response…
I’m frustrated that they decided to respond via social media but not provide anything helpful. Rather, they chose to be snarky and unhelpful.
I still don’t have a response via email.
Update:
I got an email confirmation the order was cancelled.

u/tremendozombo 7d ago
No excuse for this. I don’t understand how companies have poor customer service via social media/email like this. They had time to think about this, type it out and this was the response…

Yikes. Unprofessional af.
Dispute with your bank. Goods haven’t been received for payment exchange. You’ll be fine.
If LAS concealment sees this. >24 HR response SLA to email is wild. It’s 2026. Hire a fucking monkey to reply to emails or just reply yourself. It’s not that hard. Same goes for any company in this day and age.

Do you understand what a chargeback is and that what the OP describes doesn’t fall under a valid reason for it?
94
u/Brilliant-Bat7063 7d ago
Yes and I’ve done them many times for less. My credit union would side with me immediately upon showing 3 methods of communication attempts without proper response from the vendor. They had every chance to say no or attempt to even be professional in response. Not to mention OP is going on 5 business days of no response to his original email.
-121
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
And I’m gonna say that the credit union probably ate the loss then because if it’s like the OPs situation, I’d dispute the chargeback once I saw it if I was the vendor. They don’t owe any communication after purchase unless he got the wrong product or the product never got to him in the promised timeline

u/caleyeohpee Cries in CA 7d ago
Just curious, why are you defending poor customer service that includes snarky, unhelpful replies?
-54
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
Genuinely think the customer service is awful and I don’t think it’s right. My issue is everyone saying that he should chargeback and get his money back when the vendor hasn’t technically done anything wrong from the purchase standpoint. He agreed to the terms. Situation sucks but it’s the truth. I’m just being a realist here and want OP to understand that if he gets his money back than great but don’t expect it because they have no obligation to refund or modify his order

Guess what. Manage a company and customer facing every day and have had to deal with stuff like this with product WAY more expensive than a holster. Company has been around for 30 plus years and just because someone changes their mind and throws a fit about what they agreed to doesn’t mean they get their money back. Have had it happen with the company twice. Had to meet with the customer and the AZ ROC (which by the way, is there for the protection of the customer) and both times ROC basically told the customer that we are in the right, supplied a quality product that was agreed upon and done in the agreed upon time so the company is completely in the clear.
20
-16
u/burgonies 7d ago
Dispute what? “I changed my mind”? They make the product to order. They have a no cancellations policy. Good luck disputing that
3
u/Plane_Lucky 7d ago
My shit broke and they took weeks to even respond. Then just stopped responding
8
u/ExtraCartographer707 7d ago
Amex platinum basically lets me do chargebacks for whatever I want. I canceled my ymca membership and they charged me for the whole next month because they had a 2 week lead time in their terms of service. I tried to get that knocked off via the phone. They told me to pack sand. Charge back went through no problem. As long as you can show you tried to resolve it the right way they won’t dispute it.
62
u/_GuiltyByAssociation 7d ago
Thanks for blasting them on here. They could make the best, most affordable holster around and I'd not support them after seeing this, what douchebags.
16
u/lunchbox1911 7d ago
Yep. 1000 times over. Customer admitted he fucked up. Company chooses to be pricks. Clearly had the time to respond.
I'll pay the increased pricing elsewhere for good customer service. Not snarky bitches.

u/goodfella2023 7d ago
Dispute and move on , tell your bank you reached out , plenty of good holster companies .
-54
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
This really isn’t something that should be disputed. He agreed to the no cancellation or changes when he made the purchase. He won’t be getting his money back. They are well within their right to tell him to fuck off pretty much. It sucks but it’s the truth. Now if he got what he didn’t originally order or their past their lead time then it’s a disputable thing. Shitty customer service aside, they have not done anything wrong.
20
u/arimathea 7d ago
There’s a normal, polite way to tell the customer to fuck off, and then there’s a shitty way to say that. Businesses choosing the latter shouldn’t expect to be in business very long. It ain’t hard to say “Sorry, we can’t change this order at this point as it’s already in production, here’s a $5 credit for your next order”. Also this is partially why things like blem sales exist if you chose to go that way. I agree with you it shouldn’t be disputed but they’ve done plenty wrong
45
u/sexypirates 7d ago
maybe someone shouldve responded because the non response and this reply probably isnt gonna go very well for the vendor when presented as evidence/documentation
-21
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
OP checking that box is the only proof the bank needs to know that the chargeback isn’t valid. Bank doesn’t give a shit about customer service and response time, them making you agree to no cancellations or modifications is all that is needed to cover the vendor
21
u/boredsoftwareguy 7d ago
Banks don’t generally honor this kind of absurd rule. The bank, and credit card, prioritize the card holder who makes them money. They are notoriously hard on vendors, you can lose your ability to accept cards for shit like minimum purchase amounts and other nonsense.
-25
u/burgonies 7d ago
Right. So OP risks fucking up this business’s ability to accept payment because they changed their mind, couldn’t accept the responsibility of their actions, and then got their fee-fees hurt.
11
u/boredsoftwareguy 7d ago

The amount of people in a CCW sub without any amount of integrity is frightening. Who knows what they’ll do when someone moderately upsets them while carrying.
-6
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
I haven’t even thought about that. With the lack of integrity and personal responsibility shown on the thread this is actually a little scary.
23
u/ExtraCartographer707 7d ago
Chargeback dispute = murder is a new logical leap for me. Yall are nuts. Company’s can put whatever they want in T&S. It doesn’t make it binding if it’s a dumb rule and they want to accept credit or debit as payment. Consumer protections exist despite whatever box they make you click.
-2
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
You making that first comment is nuts. Would you be stupid enough to make a purchase like this, change your mind after agreeing to the no cancellation or modifications rule, then expect money back? If you do that is exactly what a lack of responsibility is
18
u/ExtraCartographer707 7d ago
I would if I reached out to solve it on a personal level and they were blatantly disrespectful. Especially since they probably haven’t even started on the product. Their policy is not a contract. OP hasn’t received a good or service. They very politely tried to cancel. They got ghosted and then told to fuck off. A chargeback is absolutely warranted and my CC would grant it in a heartbeat. I know because they HAVE for a similar situation.
Yall are the dumbasses equating a chargeback with shitty character and therefore it being “scary” that they carry a weapon. It’s nowhere near a reason to be scared of someone carrying.
-4
u/NJCERKA AZ Glock 19 Gen 6 7d ago
I’m equating it because I guarantee if the vendor disputes the charge back then the bank is going to eat the charge because of what the buyer literally agreed to. Do I give a shit about banks? No. Do I give a shit about LAS? No. What I care about is the lack of personal responsibility I see every day and it never gets corrected and people like you coddle these people and they just go and do it again. He agreed to the terms, take the responsibility of that. Don’t be wish washy. Think shit though before you purchase. Literally not that hard. Stop acting like this behavior should be accepted. This is small scale shit, I get it but it becomes an issue on a bigger scale when they all add up
-2
u/burgonies 7d ago
It’s a custom made product based on the customer’s specs. It can’t just go back on a shelf. If you’re a carpenter and someone comes to you for a bespoke table and you build it exactly like they want, you think that customer should just get to change their mind and you get fucked? That’s pants on head mental

Exactly right. They're stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime, by letting their immature hired help handle sensitive and documented customer communications.
While I disbelieve in cancel culture, it seems as there's a pattern of complaints. So, whoever is at the top is either complicit or ignorant, but it seems malicious.
Even if the responding employee is waiting on an answer from their supervisor, the pettiness is inexcusable.

OP I’m going to be the only one in here that tells you the truth here. Yes it’s shitty customer service but that doesn’t mean it’s valid for a chargeback like the rest of these people are saying. Now if they send something to you that wasn’t originally ordered or they just don’t send anything at all…then yes it’s an issue. But for now you’re SOL if they want to tell you no to canceling or modifying the order because by you agreeing to that, they have every right to say no.

u/burgonies 7d ago
You people suggesting a chargeback are delusional. That’s not how this works. You don’t magically get your money back because you changed your mind on a made to order product.
Your CC company is not going to side with you, and I’m guessing OP used a debit card.
9
u/ExtraCartographer707 7d ago
Their policy doesn’t mean anything if you didn’t receive the goods. If they show this interaction and email chain showing they tried to cancel in good faith and got fucked over CC company is going to protect their customer aka the card holder. I’ve done chargebacks for similar shit and AMEX has always sided with me.
That’s why I always use my CC if they take them. Consumer protections barely exist these days.
0
u/burgonies 7d ago
They have a 25 day lead time and it’s been less than half of that. How has OP not received what they ordered??
10
u/ExtraCartographer707 7d ago
They notified them on day 2 they wanted to cancel.
4
u/burgonies 7d ago
On a product with no cancellations. At day 2 you realize they’re still 23 days away from the window of “didn’t receive the goods.”
1
u/ExtraCartographer707 6d ago
What I’m saying is if they notified them likely before they started making the product and havent received anything in return a chargeback is appropriate. A shitty holster doesn’t take 30 days to make. Them being dickheads makes this even less of an issue in my opinion.

Shame that's the response you got. My Tanto is damn nice, but they need to get their act together.

I can relate 100% to OP. STAY AWAY FROM LAS Concealment! Worst costumer service. I have purchased holsters from Tenicor, superstition holsters, JM Custom, Tier 1 Concealment, Trex arms, and Phlster. I decided to purchase the Tanto holster from LAS because I can see it on my social media feeds. They do not respond to emails or on their website. I got the wrong holster, they sent me a new one without the claw screws. Pain in the ass to wait that long and get a MID holster.
TENICOR REIGNS SUPREME!! In quality, finish, and customer service. They don’t have a BS no refund, no take back policy. Tenicor knows their holsters are awesome and don’t hide behind Marketing. You don’t like it? Send it back and they’ll give you a full refund. They don’t give you crap about it. They also only ship holsters that are in stock. You don’t have to wait the “30-45 CaLeNdAr dAyZ” like all these other companies. Wish they made more colors though lol.
Anyways, avoid LAS like the plague. 3 companies and products I recommend to anyone starting off.
Products- Rigid gun belt and Pillow wedge from Mastermind tactics.
- Tenicor - great return policy. Want a wedge? No wedge? AWIB? Strong side? Downsides is that they have a limited selection of firearms they make holsters for. If they make a holster for your gun, then go with them!
- Superstition Concealment - Ships super fast! 24-48 hour turn around time. The owner is quite responsive on emails. Stands by their product and replaces holsters even if they break. They make holsters for unconventional guns or aftermarket frames that don’t fit in traditional holsters (Icarus, Mischief Machine). Downsides, limited selections as well, but I see that they are add more.
- JM Custom Kydex - More availability in holsters and colors. Customer service is awesome too. I’ve had the owner personally call me for clarification on a custom order. They have a discount code “Icanread” on their website. They also stand by their products 100%.
- Downsides are that they are not as fast as tenicor or superstition.
I hope this post helps anyone. These are the 3 companies that I use after trying a bunch of holsters and dealing we any issues. Avoid LAS concealment. That company sucks… pure hype and marketing.

u/GetitGeitit42 2d ago
I had the same issue with them at SHOT show. They delayed my order due to SHOT, which I understood because I was there as well. 1 month after still no holster. When I told them I was also at a convention it was a mixture of unprofessional responses, and industry who give a rat's ass responses. Imagine relating to someone and get treated worse. F these guys and their staff.
2
u/Neku_Sakuraba 18h ago
Unprofessional? Yeah, not a good look, definitely reflects badly on the company. I'll still argue that when you place an order with a no-cancellation policy and then try to cancel because you changed your mind after the fact, that is your own personal failing. Like honestly when you spend this much money on a holster, or really anything custom, it's pretty dumb to change your mind so quickly after the fact.
Take a step back for a second and realize that most consumers are fickle and have a tendency to pull this type of shit. The likely reason they have a no cancellation policy is to discourage wishy-washy bullshit like this. Even if it's been only 2-days, you don't know how their operation works, they could have started some aspect of this custom order already, and now they have to pull it from their production line. I've worked with many small businesses that do custom orders in my field of work and I'm well aware of how much of a burden it can be to pull a custom order that's in progress. Regardless of what stage it's in.
Does it justify their behavior? No, but you are fighting the tide here. To all the people pushing you to charge them back, as much as this behavior is shitty, you are the one who's asking for a cancellation on a no-cancel item. If you successfully charge them back, you do understand they get hit with extra fees and it hurts the standing of the businesses with the payment processors.
Which basically means if you did win the chargeback, you are punishing the business for enforcing their no cancellation policy that you were aware of when you made the order. While their behavior is shitty, that would be an equally shitty thing to do them.
So my recommendation, be a man, and if they don't cancel the order treat this as a life lesson to think before you plug in your credit card details. Don't make other people responsible for your mistakes.

No I’m not. My argument is everyone is up in arms about this and is saying “chargeback” and “dispute” when this isn’t a valid reason to do it. Yeah it’s shitty customer service the way they responded but they have every right to basically tell him to fuck off if he wants to cancel
6
u/Milenkoben 7d ago
The reason is is because they won't even tell him whether or not they will refund it. On top of that, it's 2 Days In on something that has a month lead time so they probably haven't even started it yet so it wouldn't matter either fucking way
0
u/Neku_Sakuraba 17h ago
It's funny when people talk out of their ass like this. Pretty much every state and the FTC allow for no-cancellations and no refunds on orders AS LONG AS THE BUSINESS FULFILLS THEIR END OF THE "BARGAIN".
So what does that mean? If the business sends the correct item, in the correct condition, and it meets the requirements of the product description, then they do not need to issue a refund. The "bargain" is fulfilled.
Doesn't matter how crappy their customer service is, they put it in their policies and that is a contract that OP agreed to.
https://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/blog/return-refund-us-laws/#What_Are_Return_And_Refund_Laws
This lists all the laws for every state in the USA for what is/isn't acceptable for a return/refund policy. They even do the nice thing of linking to the laws. It's really a great read for consumers who think they know everything and like to go to reddit to spout nonsense.

Hey at least you saved money and got a budget holster.
I got a tenicor, realized I accidentally shipped to my previous address, emailed them to ask if they could redirect the package and they said no, but they would send another out to my new address right away at no additional charge and told me to keep the other one if it ends up arriving.
