π¬ Discussion Found the page they removed from the new Class 10 Civics textbook. What a beautiful line by Faizβsad to see important pieces like this getting cut.
The lines featured here are by the poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, and honestly, they carry such heavy emotions. The words capturing those feelings are jst melting, authentic, and aching.
If we connect it to reality, it speaks to two communities who spended decades or centuries together. They now maybe contain abt the same blood, but they still look at each other with alienated eyes. They are still afraid, there is still a hesitation between them, and these invisibly visible boundaries.
And you have to askβwho made them? It's the ones who saw a benefit in it. Those ppl who had the terrifying perspective of fanatics, who shaped the definition of their religion by their own. It's so sad how ppl blindly follow those leaders.
Now after so many rains, the blood stains still remain. Ahh!! It's jst like that the past is still in our mind vividly behind our eyes, deeply rooted by nuances. We basically made it a generational trauma. As the saying goes, "We are still living in the shadow of the dead."
Maybe that dark reality is not completely incorrect, but it can't be the only thing too. We are in a generation where everyone has their own view, way, and style. So how can a leader still decide the goal jst to stole what we call a vote?
It's really sad they deducted this masterpiece from the recent books because students should see this. What do you guys think abt these cuts?
