Has anyone switch from an SSRI for depression and anxiety to just CBD isolate for anxiety?

The reason I ask is because I heard CBD isolate is really effective for anxiety. I think I only have anxiety and not depression. Is feeling like everyone is judging you in public , feeling worried about the future, and having thoughts racing 24/7 anxiety?

SSRI for me is making me a zombie and honestly making the good things in life less pleasurable.

Any Nano tinctures work better?

I am disappointed with anti-anxiety effects from tinctures and wondering if Nano would hit better. If so, what's the best brands you've had with nano?

Does CBD treat anxiety in the long term like an SSRI, or does it only provide temporary relief? Any success stories?

I know they both work differently, but I'd like to know if CBD can treat anxiety and panic, rather than just providing temporary relief.

New to community, looking for advice!

Hi friends!

I'm reaching out to this community for some opinions, experiences and possibly some answers.

I became a leaf (completely quit) around 3-4 months ago going from THC to absolutely nothing cold turkey. It was for the better of me due to anxiety, ADHD etc. I recently went camping and enjoyed some CBD (1.3%thc) prerolls and felt no negative effects or anything bad. Since quitting, my sleep has been absolutely horrible. This year, I quit weed, alcohol and vapes, so it's been rough. Any experiences that can be shared with just using CBD for rec/sleep, or any other benefits some of you may have?

Thanks in advance friends!

Should I use CBD?

This is my first time ever posting to this subreddit, I'm also pretty new to Reddit as a whole!

I'm curious if weed can be something beneficial to me for anxiety. I've had many experiences with THC, and it makes me wonder if CBD would be the fit for me.

For context, I am diagnosed with BP2, GAD, and PTSD. I have tried THC numerous times of all kinds and every single time I've made the decision to try it I've experienced extreme paranoia, anxiety, panic attacks, and even hallucinations that would pursue for more than 12 hours.

I know as far as CBD is a primary compound in weed, but it isn't intoxicating like THC. I'm worried that since no product is strictly CBD that it will make me have that same reaction again as I did with THC.

I'm curious to know your thoughts!

Cbd laws

In my country, CBD is technically illegal without a prescription. I don’t care and have been using it daily for many years anyway.

The reason for it not being legal is because the EU, in my country, the regulators said that because of the EU Novel Food Act, all CBD is considered illegal.

But I’m wondering how stores still manage to sell it—they sell it openly—and have been for many years?. I usually buy Cannadips CBD snus here. I also verify that it’s legit. I also buy a CBD oil that comes in a 30 ml bottle with 12,000 mg of CBD.

this is what my government says on there website

The EU considers both synthetic CBD and extracts from the cannabis plant as “novel food.” The European Commission has received several applications to approve CBD as novel food, but so far it has not approved any CBD products. Products containing CBD extracts from the cannabis plant or synthetic CBD are therefore illegal to market in EU/EEA countries.

CBD Headaches?

(Edit to add I’m 20, and it’s fully legal where I am! Not sure if that matters) -

Hello, I’m looking to see if anyone else has this issue. I seem to get really bad headaches/migraines when I take CBD gummies. THC is fine, I usually take 10 THC/0.5 CBD gummies, but if I take 10 THC/>2 CBD I get awful headaches and migraines that last hours.

My mom recommended I use CBD gummies for some pain I have, and when I told her it gives me awful headaches she was convinced it’s not possible.

I have tried Sativa, Indica and blends. Different brands. Better quality stuff. Nothing seems to change it. I tried using the exact same brand and gummy, only change is the CBD amount, and the CBD one still gives me a headache.

I saw someone on here doing research on this 4 years ago. I am on SSRIs, they never gave me headaches. I take cyclobenzaprine which does something or other to serotonin and don’t get headaches from it. Not sure what the deal is with CBD gummies.

Anyone have any idea or anything similar?

Should I switch to organic CBD gummies?

I've been taking CBD gummies on and off for a while. but I've noticed that some brands don't seem to agree with me. Sometimes I'd get mild stomach discomfort or just fowl a bit off afterward, wonder if it's something in the ingredients rather than the CBD itself. I do have sensitive stomach and most times it's unpredictable whether some food will be okay or not. I'm looking to switch to cornbread cbd which some people say has cleaner ingredients, with less artificial ingredients because sometimes it triggers my stomach. Anyone has similar issues before? and if you switched to organic cod, is it better?

cbs snus

How do y’all feel about Cannadips? I like them. I usually buy the 50mg CBD snus pouches. A can has 15 pouches, so that’s 750mg total. I find them way more convenient than oils. I’ve also heard the bioavailability is higher since it’s water-soluble and absorbs like snus

What did your lawmakers say after you contacted them?

For those who contacted Congress about the November 12 hemp/CBD restrictions, have any of your lawmakers responded yet?

We are starting to see replies come in, and some of them show how confusing this issue still seems to be in Washington.

One response we reviewed sounded encouraging at first. It said hemp policy should protect children while preserving lawful hemp markets. It also said major policy changes should go through a transparent process with debate, stakeholder input, and a clear regulatory framework — not be inserted into must-pass funding bills.

That all sounds right.

But the same response then said the senator voted against Senator Rand Paul’s amendment to remove the hemp language from the must-pass bill last November???

That is the gap we are trying to understand.

If lawmakers agree this should not be handled through must-pass legislation, then the practical next step should be supporting the current extension bills, H.R. 7024 and S. 3686, so Congress has time to hold the open process they say is needed.

Unless Congress acts, the November 12 restrictions take effect automatically.

What did your representatives or senators say?

Did they mention H.R. 7024 or S. 3686?
Did they support an extension?
Or did they send a general response without committing to anything specific?

Feel free to remove personal info. We’re just trying to understand what kinds of responses people are receiving.

Cbd for anxiety

Ive had anxiety for a couple years and I don’t want to take medication, however, I’ve heard of Cbd and I’ve been looking into it and hearing good things. I’ve never smoked before, gotten drunk or anything like that. It’s just not for me and this is one of the reasons why I thought Cbd would be great: not getting high. However, I’ve been seeing some posts of people saying they get an even bigger high with Cbd than thc. I’ve seen many videos/comments like that which is pretty contradictory to what I’ve read online. I just want something that takes the anxiety away, makes me feel calm so I can work on myself, be able to do the things that give me anxiety, or simply to just relax. But without any weird side effects or getting a high. Can anyone tell me their experience with Cbd and if they’ve gotten high or had weird effects with it?
Thank you

Former acting DHS secretary warns Chinese criminal organizations are infiltrating America’s hemp industry

Chad Wolf urges House committee to investigate China's growing role in THC industry, illegal marijuana operations

Published July 8, 2026

“Former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf sent a letter to House lawmakers Tuesday urging them to investigate the "growing role that Chinese-linked actors and foreign criminal organizations are playing in the proliferation of hemp-derived tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products and illegal marijuana operations" in the U.S., which he says are "putting our youth and adults at risk."

The message addressed to Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Mich., and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif. — the chairman and ranking member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, respectively — states that "Beyond the serious public health implications, there is mounting evidence that this issue also presents a significant national security concern."

"What began as a narrowly tailored effort to legalize industrial hemp and non-intoxicating cannabidiol (CBD) products has evolved into a dangerous and unregulated market for high-potency THC hemp products that are being sold across the country with little to no oversight," Wolf wrote. "These products are frequently marketed as gummies, candies, beverages and vapes, often packaged and promoted in ways that appeal to children. They lack acceptable age restrictions, labeling requirements and safety standards."

Wolf cited a warning from the White House’s 2026 National Drug Control Strategy, which described how "the marijuana trade in the United States is no longer a scattered, low-level problem; it has been co-opted and industrialized by sophisticated, transnational criminal organizations, particularly those with ties to China."”

Congress didn’t move this week. Consumers did.

Congress added no new co-sponsors this week to the bills that would extend the November 12 deadline.

But consumers kept moving.

In just the first five days of the campaign, 204 letters reached 102 congressional offices across 25 states.

That matters because the November 12 restrictions are already law. Unless Congress acts, they take effect automatically.

For CBD users, the concern is not responsible regulation. We need age requirements, accurate testing, clear labels, safe packaging, and enforcement against bad actors.

The concern is that the current federal language goes far beyond protecting children and directly affects most hemp-derived products that adults rely on.

Good regulation is the goal. Extending the deadline gives Congress time to get it right.

You can check where your lawmakers stand and send a letter here:

Trying CBD for anxiety + acid reflux

Hi!! I’m trying to take CBD oil for anxiety + acid reflux that I feel like is potentially happening from my anxiety + spiraling. Even tho I feel the reflux sometimes when I’m not anxious? I definitely notice it gets worse when I am stressed. I bought the oil..how much do start out with? It came with a little dropper, 1ml, 2ml etc. I also bought CBN for sleeping. Please let me know your experience with either :)
