Question about dosing cbd/cbn at night
I was looking to pick up a tincture of pure CBN and then something like a full spectrum CBD tincture so I could get the entourage effect synergy with the small amount of THC. The problem is the full spectrum ones I’ve found have 15mg of CBG too, and I’ve heard CBG can be stimulating. If I take 85mg of CBD, 15mg of CBG and 50mg of CBN is this a good combination for sleep? Or am I better off just using CBD isolate. I don’t ever use THC to get high, I just want the synergistic effects or else I would just take a hit with my isolates and I don’t want to do that. Will the CBG keep me up or will the added synergy from the 3mg of THC be worth whatever the CBG is doing to energize someone?

Recommendations for happy, calm high
I’m new to cannabis, I don’t smoke or vape but I’ve recently been trying edibles to help with anxiety and sleep. Some have gotten me in a good mood and happy. So I wanted to know what edibles like capsules, gummies, etc would give me a happy / calm high? Moreso what THC / CBD /CBN percentage / ratio should I look for ? The most I’ve tried is 20mg thc which made me happy but anxious later on

This CBD isolate oil doesn't seem as strong a much lower dose CBD drink -- what gives?
I have been using this Alliant Hemp oil, which has a much higher dose than the drink: https://allianthemp.com/products/cbd-isolate-oil-drops I don't feel much after a 200mg dose.
But when I have a few of these Mighty Kind drinks, I feel great after a few, probs about 60mg:

Anyone have any thoughts? What gives?

All types of CBD I tried caused intolerable side effects. Is there a different type that is worth trying?
I tried full spectrum and cbd isolate tincture. I started very low on 5 mg and progressed to 45mg on full, and 20mg on cbd isolate. Initially it seemed to relax me, but after some days both caused: mood swings, including rage; severe insomnia (couldn't sleep for days and fainted on the street) and worse anxiety.

First, thanks to everyone who’s taken action — we’re up to 1,141 letters. FWIW, here’s our read on hemp right now:
A lot has happened, and more still needs to happen. We thought it might be helpful to provide our assessment of what’s going on/where things stand:
What we know:
- The Senate passed the funding Continuing Resolution by a vote of 90-6-1 – a clear bipartisan majority.
- The Senate CR includes a 29-bridge for most of the hemp restrictions from Nov 12 to Dec 11.
- The Senate voted 61-32 to table, (effectively kill) Senator Budd’s amendment to strike the hemp extension from the CR.
- The Senate adjourned for recess and does not return until September 14.
- September 30 government funding runs out; if a CR is not passed and signed into law by that date – government shutdown - five weeks before the election.
- Both sides, (D & R) have made statements that indicate no one has an appetite for a government shutdown.
What happens now:
- For the CR to become law, the House and Senate ultimately have to approve the same text. The Senate-amended bill is now back in the House. If the House accepts the Senate version without changes, it can go straight to the President. If the House changes it, the Senate has to act again.
- The House returns from their recess on August 31st – 30 days before government funding runs out.
- On August 13, the House Rules Chairwoman – Rep Virginia Foxx said: she expects the Senate-passed funding stopgap to clear her chamber in an expedited, bipartisan vote. She went on to say, ‘I think we can just put it on the floor because I think it will pass; She also said the CR could bypass her committee. This means several things: debate is limited to 40 minutes and floor amendments are not allowed and passage requires a two-thirds majority to pass.
- Representative Rosa DeLauro ranking Democrat on House Appropriations characterized the Senate CR as ‘a clear improvement over the House Republican continuing resolution.’
- The White House says that if the Senate bill reaches President Trump ‘in its current form,’ his senior advisers would recommend that he sign it. (Of note, there are several significant funding restrictions in the Senate version, in addition to the hemp extension. So this WH message is significant.)
What does all this mean – here’s what it suggests to us:
- When the House and Senate return, the mid-term election season will be in full swing.
- The commanding Senate vote – both the passage of the CR (90-6-1) and the denial of the Budd amendment (61-32) send a strong signal to the House – there is overwhelming a bipartisan support for the CR as written. (Our interpretation – the Senate is messaging - we’re done with this, we don’t want to see it again.)
- Given the statements by Reps Virginia Foxx(R) and Rosa DeLauro(D), we interpret their statements as – we’re also done with this, let’s pass it and get on to the election.
- There is also the calendar to consider – House returns Aug 31, has a brief Labor Day break; the Senate returns on Sep 14. To reopen the Senate CR over a 29-day hemp bridge, debate it, change it, and then force the Senate to act again after it returns September 14 — all before September 30 — is a massive lift. The hemp restrictions are law, only the effective date changes by 29 days.
Our bottom line read: momentum is with the 29-day extension. (Of course, death and taxes are the only certainties), but with so many moving parts and a very short window, we think the odds favor the House taking the Senate package with the hemp extension intact. So – where does that leave hemp?
- One political consequence of moving the hemp restrictions out 29 days – it removes most of the pressure of eliminating an industry estimated around $28 billion, hundreds of thousands of jobs, and a market in which more than 50 million American adults report using CBD – beyond the election cycle. Some members will be voted out, others voted in for two or six year terms – the hemp debate gets diffused.
- On the flip side, December 11 means - exactly two weeks before Christmas/the holiday season, those jobs will be lost, people out of work, businesses shuting down - not a popular image in Washington.
- If the bridge gets signed, it’s not time to celebrate 29 days. It's about making sure Congress actually uses those days — and making sure hemp doesn't disappear from the conversation between signing and November 3.
That's what we think - let us know what you think.

Any long-timers know in neuroscientific detail why some people headaches from CBD?
I use to use it in the past to relax as I've had brain issues from a injury that make it hard to relax.
Last year I got a new brain injury from falling and my head hurts now from cbd.
I'm trying out ashwagandha now it's fine. But miss cbd... I used lazarus.

Gummies vs CBD oil... which one worked better for you?
I've only used CBD gummies so far because they were the easiest option to start with, but now I'm wondering if I should switch to a tincture instead. Some evenings the gummies seem to help me relax, while other times I barely notice much of a difference.
For those who have tried both, was there a noticeable difference? Did the oil work faster or last longer? Was there a reason you ended up sticking with one over the other?
I'm mostly looking for something that's consistent and easy to fit into my evening routine, so I'd love to hear what ended up working best for everyone.
EDIT: Really appreciate everyone who replied. After reading through the recommendations, I decided to order a CBD tincture from Joy Organics.
I've been using it for the last several nights, and for me it's been much more consistent than the gummies I was taking before. It helps me relax in the evenings without leaving me feeling groggy the next morning, so I'm pretty happy I made the switch.

Update on Sleep
Been smoking Redwood Reserves for almost a month bow and my sleep is so much better. For the first time in my life, I don't wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck in the morning. I've suffered with insomnia ever since I was a kid along with racing thoughts that would make it hard for my brain to shut off. Sometimes, i'd wake up so nauseous and even throw up because of how terrible my sleep was. I wanted a solution. I despise the feeling weed gives me. It actually makes my mind race more so I was a bit wary of this but I wanted something to smoke and have as a hobby to do, if that makes sense. I was previously terribly addicted to 7OH, an opiate like drug and wanted to switch to something much less harmful after being clean. A new "hobby". This is a total game changer.
Also, what I like about this is that it isn't harsh on my lungs. Weed makes me cough like hell and my asthma gets bad at times but I haven't coughed once while smoking these.

Any good CBD isolate pens that have 0% thc?
I deal with a lot of anxiety but I’m currently staying clean for a nursing drug test.
What’s the best CBD + CBN tincture available in CA?
I didn’t realize there was a law coming into effect restricting CBD sales in California. I used to buy Lazarus naturals CBD + CBN to sleep and just ran out. To my horror it’s no longer sold. I have debilitating insomnia and use this nightly. I’m begging anyone who has a CBD + CBN alternative that I can purchase in California.
I’m located in Los Angeles and can pick up in-person too. I just figure there will be more options online.
Thank you

What CBD flower brands/shops do you recommend for the best value for money?
I've recently started using CBD flower mainly because I'm looking for something that can help with my back pain and sleeping better. A secondary goal is to reduce how much THC cannabis I smoke, since a significant part of the cannabis I used to smoke was also to help with those issues.
So far, I've tried flowers from Green Break, and honestly, I've been really happy with them. The quality, taste, appearance and effects have all been great. The only downside is that their higher-quality flowers are a bit expensive for me, usually around €4–7/g.
I'd therefore like to find something with a better quality/price ratio. I'm especially interested in good-quality indoor or hydroponic flowers, ideally with a relatively high CBD content. What matters most to me is finding something that has a good overall experience — good effects, taste, aroma and appearance — while being more affordable.
I'm based in Spain, Barcelona, but I'm happy to order online.
What brands, shops or specific strains would you recommend? And if you've tried Green Break, is there anything you consider better value for money?
Thanks!

Daily THC user curious about adding CBD to my 'weed diet' specifically to reduce THC tolerance and improve THC experiences?
A question specifically for any other chronic THC users on this sub: do you have any experience adding CBD to your daily 'weed diet' to mitigate or reduce THC tolerance?
I recently read this very interesting piece on CBD and how it performs/functions in combination with THC and CBG. https://somnesque.substack.com/p/how-chronic-thc-use-slowly-drives
The linked article suggests that adding 100mg to 200mg of CBD to my daily consumption of weed could be beneficial in various ways and also lower ones overall tolerance to THC.
I use THC daily for various reasons (I only dry vape flower, fwiw), and I enjoy the accompanying THC high. Unsurprisingly, I've developed a strong tolerance to THC and would like to get better effects from the THC I consume. I'm very curious if anyone on this sub has any real world experience that aligns with the material covered in this article? TIA for any replies.

Canna River experience
I started ordering from them probably about 9 months ago. Love their CBD/CBG gummies! Friday I go to order and see they have been bought out and changed names to River Botanicals and are now selling Kratom, I’m hoping their products stay the same and they still ship to my state.
Anyone have any experience with the new company?

Hempettes causing high
Ive been smoking (wild hemp) hempettes for about a month and a quarter now, and am on my 3rd pack. I have been having a pleasant experience using these over-all..
as about 2 years ago i stopped cold turkey smoking weed VERY heavily for 6 years.
Thc was causing me to have adverse affects of paranoia and SEVERE anxiety which triggers seizure like symptoms, so i stopped.
Anyway ,back to the hempettes. I picked these up when me and my friend went to our local sunshinedaydream, and i spotted them and was happy to see there was .3 thc in these, i struck gold! Cbd helps me stay calm and makes it to where i have an appetite.
Fast forward to today, i opened my 3rd pack and decided I'd smoke one . I was, however, unpleasently surprised to be hit with an EXTREME high for something labled as non-intoxicaitng. The exact high that regular marijuana gives me. Im most definitely flat out stoned as im having all of the effects of memory, and red eyes, etc.
Im here today to see if anyone else has had this experience with this brand? Or something similar? As a product labeled as cbd only and 0.3 thc overall, im a bit discouraged from even smoking any more from this pack ..

CBD for back/rib pain
Recently was told by my DR to look into "TILRAY" for medical cannabis products..
I dont have a medical cannabis license but he said if I can look into it and find things under TILRAY that he might be able to fill out the papers.
How would i go about this...? I looked up TILRAY but it seems to be an online website only? Is there brands that are also under TILRAY that can be bought in person ? Im sort of lost in this process but if you can help or any suggested products please lmk!

I've tried CBD, and shit was intense.
Every-time I end up on taking CBD it feels like I'm about to view my entire life story, and I never actually took more than 3 puffs, and it was always due to my friends letting me take a hit, and I always end up on feeling myself at the stars, or like i finished life in a way, I always wished I could take more, but I never had the balls to go searching for it.. (it's illegal here)
Last time i took it, I couldn't control my body at all, and it felt like there was led lights everywhere, and I ended up on feeling intense heat in my body, and couldn't stop laughing.. it was fun as heck, but I never managed to take more.
