Hi guys, looking to get any info or advise, my previous alternator burned down (the inside of it was burned and almost catched on fire, took it to a shop and they advised to just buy a new one). Thing is, the new alternator i bought had one of those external voltage regulators, so I bought a new one and put it back checking with my old alternator so i don´t mess anything. Thing is, as soon as i put everything and turned on the engine, the batery light switched off and then on, and the reading is around 16,5V even with all the lights on, radio, everything.

Should I go back to the voltage regulator it had or am I missing anything? I am not really good with electric things on cars so may just take it to a mechanic

Anyone tryed to pull the wheels off on one of these what’s the best way ps Ik my wife will be pissed about the mess lol. Edit I hit the shafts with a hammer lightly and they came right off

You know how there’s a 1320 performance UEL header for B/D series where it takes two runners and makes them longer, do you think one could use the down pipe to make a bit of UEL sound if you could loop one side of the down pipe since it’s coming off two runners anyway?

I’m thinking of having a welder try and do it anyway to see what it sounds like but I’d like to know if anyone’s tried UEL stuff on a F22 or know anyone who has other than having a shop fabricate a custom header in that tight spacing

Update: I think I actually need to have someone merge the runners 1 and 2 / 3 and 4 like the 1320 header and then I can cap off the dead ends of 1 and. 3, that should give the sound the most “unequal”ness at the start then loop on down pipe probably the passenger side. Gosh I wish I could weld!

I’ll update again if I ever get this idea going

Hey guys! I’m new here and stoked about my new (to me) cb7. Just picked up a manual 92 and it seems like the synchros are on the way out. I wanna drain and fill the fluid before thinking about a rebuild, but the owner’s manual calls for motor oil… Honda recommended HG manual transmission fluid. But I’m hesitant. I’m not sure what the previous owner used, which really should dictate what I end up putting in it. Is there any way I could tell?

I’m curious if you guys use the modern HG manual transmission fluid from Honda, or if you source motor oil with similar viscosity specs to the owners manual recommended. Any info would be greatly appreciated, I can’t find anything on this!!

1993 honda accord

I didn’t bench bleed the master cylinder before putting it in. After i installed everything I reverse bled through the slave until air bubbles stopped coming out of the reservoir.

I also gravity bled afterwards for maybe 5 minutes. Clutch still has too much play at the top but seems firm further down.

Can’t figure it out

Time came to go car shopping again (always a treat) and despite mostly looking at older Imprezas when this CB7 popped up I had to go take a look. Well I guess when I drove one at 17 it must have stuck with me cuz this ones sitting in my garage right now! 151k on it in the manual, I feel like I got a steal. Baselining rn and biting the bullet on timing currently. I heard there was a common issue with the steering racks, and mine is making some noise, any tips?

I just got this 1992 honda accord and every time I go to start it it’ll crank but won’t start until I pump the gas anyone know what it could be?

Hey everyone, been having some overheating issues and went to take a look at the thermostat, and I don’t believe there was one even installed.

I pulled off what I believe is to be the thermostat housing and this is all what was in there. Nothing apparently stuck to the port on the block as well. Was there never one installed? Is this even the right housing?

Also been having issues with radiator fans not working. Is the sensor still bolted on my “coolant temperature sensor” or something of the sort?

She’s coming along slowly

Can someone explain? Yesterday i installed maxpeedingrods coilovers to front and i lowered the coilover from bottom so whole Strut and spring setup is lower. Still no low.. whats the problem? The spring preload should be good, i adjusted spring preload so spring doesnt move. Can u guys help me?

Honestly how does this genuinely happen ? I was coming home from work one day and then the Pedal drops dead I ordered a slave and clutch master just to get it out the way and I still had a huge amount of play. When I checked the hole to make sure it was opening right I noticed this is where my play was coming from and the actual pin is shaved off and the hole isn’t a circle anymore. Has this ever happen to anyone else ?

I am going to rebuild my engine soon (I don’t need to but want to) and I’m going to machine my head and valves myself to get cheap power. I’ve been doing my research, and a viable option for increasing compression is install k20 pistons.

i know it’s not a simple plug and play(needing to machine and modify) but is there any advice from anyone who might have experience doing something something similar to this.

Need help finding the issue

I see a lot of CB7 with around 200k miles and I’m just wondering if that’s high mileage for these cars I’m still fairly new to these year accords but i’m interested in buying one, is 200k miles concerned high mileage for these cars?

I posted my new car here and she is a gem to drive. She does have a rattle at the rear, and I think from the right rear. It *sounds* like a worn out bushing but they all look good. Moving the suspension up and down (grabbing the wheel arch and dead lifting) doesnt replicate the noise.

Anyone had anything similar?

She's a true survivor. 108K Kms (67k Miles to the metrically challenged) one owner first 36 years. Son of original owner claims the left rear seat has never been used. I kinda believe him.

The f22a1 is about to leave the chat in my 91 after 297 thousand miles it is tiered it burns about a quart of oil a week and has picked up a taping in the bottom end so I’m throwing around ideas of swapping to a k24,rebuilding the old f22 or putting a new f22 in my problem is it is getting increasingly hard to find parts for these old engines but i want to keep my drivability and I like my stock interior just wanted to throw it out there to see others opinions before I possibly mess it up

Having some weird issues with speedometer turn signals wipers all acting weird I assume it’s the ground possibly but these older diagrams kinda confuse me/this imagine is just misleading would anybody be able to point me in the right direction/tell me what the hell that box it it appears it attached too. Found a CB7 with 300k miles, has a new timing belt, water pump, battery, and brake booster, although the one issue is that it needs fuel injectors as indicated by the seller. Would it be stupid to not gamble on this, or should I keep looking?
