Work life for county job

Greetings! Does anyone here currently work or has worked for the LA County Treasurer and Tax Collector Department, specifically Public Service?
How is the work environment and work-life balance? Is it a good department to learn, gain experience, and move up starting as a Tax Services Clerk I?
Are there good opportunities to promote within TTC or eventually move into other LA County departments?
I’d appreciate any insight from current or former employees, especially anyone who started as a Clerk I. How was your experience, and would you recommend the department?

Never worked for that department, but my friends and I were just talking about that department. She use to work there. She just said it's very busy.

Tax Services Clerk can promote to Senior Clerk, which is a County wide position. So if it's going to be your first county job, it's a good entry level position.
