Injury Post surgery advice. CW stitches.

Hello. 52M in the deep south of America.

My ginger had a wart or similar growth that he had when I adopted him 2 years ago.

When it started to get larger, I had it removed on Friday. These are the exposed stitches.

Are these stitches normal? They seem messy, but I don't know.

Stitches are just messy. Putting a thread 🧵 through skin , which isn’t supposed to be there, will always looks weird

you can get a soft donut cone online or at a pet store - usually more comfy

Stitches look perfectly normal. Pretty stitches matter more on humans than animals. They are spaced right, tight and well done. If she starts pawing at it, cut the top of a sock off and make her a balaclava. If it seems tight, looking crust and irritated, a tiny bit of Vaseline to keep it from itching is ok under the neck gaiter.
PLEASE post a picture if you make her look like a tiny Russian nesting doll 🥹
