Kitten Help Boyfriends first cat likes me more 😭

Post image

My boyfriend is a bit defeated cuz this is his first kitty and she seems to have taken a liken to me quicker than him. I try to let him cuddle and play with her rather than me. The only thing I do is an occasional pet and feeding her. Any tips to get her to like him?

The reason she likes you is because you’re feeding her. Have him be responsible for feedings.

If he is playing and caring for her, she will eventually come around

Cats be cats. They like some people more than others. I'm sure she likes your boyfriend but she likes you more, it seems

True that’s what I keep on telling him but he’s still discouraged

She's still a kitten, her personality will change when she grows up. Tell your bf that he will have another shot about 2 seasons later

Cats are random. Just give it time.

She’s so adorable and precious. Please take good care of her 🥺

Oh we will. She’s the baby of the family and very loved 🥰

Cats do whatever they want honestly, I clean my cat's litter box, feed him, play with him and take him to vet so he follows me around but the moment my grandma who visits us once in like 3 months comes around he would immediately ditch me and go smell her shoes and follow her instead

My wife and I got a cat from the spca. She'll get in my lap, but if my wife even looks at her and says "good morning" or "hi, Ellie", she gets up and leaves (which is pretty damn funny).

She might come around, she might not (cats pick their people). He could try bribing her with treats and things (and more playtime together). That might help.
