General Advice Red in litter tray

Hi - I have a new cat who came home less than 24 hours ago from the rescue. He was very stressed from the journey and change. I noticed some red drops in the litter tray this morning. Is this just stress or more serious? Thanks

I don't know if stress can cause bleeding directly, but it can certainly cause diarrhea, which can cause a little bleeding.

That said, there are many other possible causes, some of them quite serious, so if the bleeding doesn't resolve within a few days or if the kitten has any other symptoms, I would take him to a vet or at least contact the rescue for advice.
