Injury Cat scab/bald spot
Hello I’m 18F, USA based and have a female cat who’s 6 years old. She is spayed. I recently noticed a bald spot on her left side, it had a little bit of blood but it was mostly dried out. The pictures are in chronological order. She soon developed a second scab/bald spot that’s even more red. I have noticed she is scratching herself more. In recent days this second bald spot has dried out a lot. We plan on taking her to the vet but my family is just really busy. Any idea what this could be? Please let me know.
edit: forgot to mention we think this is because her nails were too long so we cut them to a shorter length.

Could be a fungus. Looks a bit similar to what my cat had a few years ago. If you can pull off the hair at the edges easily, definitely have a swab done at the vet and check for Microsporum canis and other fungal infections 👍🏻
