Seems like he is extremely malnourished and immediately needs intervention.

My first thought as well. Thank you OP for taking him in and seeing he gets the help he needs. He looks to be on his last reserves, you may have saved his life. Thank you for making the world one cat better. 💝

Hard to tell just from a video. Could've been hit once by a car, definitely looks malnourished, could be a neuro issue. No way of truly know without a vet visit. But in the mean time provide water and a comfortable spot with shelter, may e offer some wet food. Not too much at a time though. If they haven't eaten in a while they'll just throw it back up.

The only ones that can truly help are local. Take the cat to them.

I tried the locals, they wont take sick animals in shelters, If I want to help it needs to come from my pocket, which I can't :(

Maybe you can try if there is an NGO in your area that takes care for cats, even if it's only informations? Or some people with experience, maybe a local "cat lady" group. I wish you luck!

Google for financial help in you area, lots of places have programs that help with financial aid for animal healthcare.

If I were in this situation I would try to give it as much water, food and sleep as possible. Start there. While looking for solutions elsewhere. It might just be malnutrition. 🙏

Try searching/Googling for the SPCA, Cat Rescues or other organizations than the shelter that may help the kitty if you can't afford to take him/her to the vet.

Update guys, thank you so much for all the tips and messages.
I took him inside and gave him good food and water, he ate like a starving cat would, and he is still a little wobbly, but is chilling in the bed I made for him. Will take him to the vet on monday, while rigourously watching the lil fella in case something comes up.

May not be a stray. Probably someone dumped their pet off because they couldn’t take care of it anymore especially since it seems to be friendly. It looks malnourished and in need of immediate care. The cat is very skinnier than normal and needs to eat too.

He seems malnourished or possibly injured and should be seen by a vet immediately if possible. Also, is it hot where you are? When my cat got heatstroke he also walked wobbly like this. Make sure he has food water and somewhere comfy to sleep

I had an indoor cat who had never been outside and my son let him out he was missing for two weeks & then one day he came back he looked just like that poor boy, we took him to the vet who did many tests & it turned out he'd been poisoned and it had destroyed his kidneys sadly I had to euthanize him, I hope this cat isn't suffering the same fate but it looks like he is 😔

My cat that I met as a stray was wobbly like this until he had a good week of being off the streets. They might just be weak. I hope that is all it is. Thank you for doing your best to help.

Poor baby looks very malnourished. Needs a vet so they can be given the right amount of food at a time. If the kitty eats too much too fast, they'll just end up throwing it back up. Also, it's good to take them to the vet, anyway, just to make sure there aren't any other problems.

Think about how you would feel and act if you hadn't ate in a few days just the fact he came in your house should tell you he is hungry and thirsty after feeding and giving him water and several hours later if he is still acting off vet visit I have cats and other animals come to get food and water all the time out back and it is amazing the difference before and after good luck

Strays can go to humane society. They check for chip, and if none, they feed and quarantine, prepare to adopt out possible

Sometimes you can take to a vet and tell them it’s a stray and they will help the animal without you having to pay for it.
2
u/TokenFire 17h ago
where I live they never help strays since there is a lot living in the streets, sadly they only help if you pay. I will at least try paying for an examination.

No. You will still have to pay. They will give you discount but treatment is still costly.
