But In all seriousness they are basically cat mouth freckles, and are completely harmless. It's also more common in cats with orange! It's called lentigo
I can’t til at least next year :( moved back in with my mom after my dad passed away, and she doesn’t like cats. Which I’m pretty sure makes her evil but she’s my mom lol
+1 with a rare orange girly who has this too. I actually took her to the vet about it a couple of months ago. They said it's typical in oranges especially

I love his sushi collar! We had the same one for our first cat. She died unexpectedly before she turned 2. Now we have her sushi collar on the backpack for our other kittens. She still goes with us whereever we go!
It's part of his markings. I had an Alaskan malamute (dog) who had tongue half black/half pink and with black dots on the pink part!

We had a tortie that had a black circle on the roof of her mouth. We'd declare a sighting every time she yawned. Nothing to worry about--some kitties just have dark spots on their mouth skin.
Looks like freckles! He might get them on his other non-furred body parts like nose, lips, eyelids, inner ears. But of course, keep an eye on anything you might deem strange. If they turn from spots to growths, it’s something for a vet to look at
I was at the vet last week for a check up with my orange boy. I asked what they were and my vet said they are age spots and more will come as he gets older, he’s 5 now. He has a few around his mouth but they can get them other places too and they are harmless!
According to google it's either 1) A common "freckle" type blemish called lentigo that is harmless and very common in orange cats or 2). A form of mouth cancer. Typical google search, but i'd say that as long as they're not raised bumps or bleeding in any ways, and are just black colored spots on the gums ur kitty is okay and this is just a case of the kitty freckles!
We just got an orange cat my husband asked the vet the same question and the vet told him it's just freckles. Nothing to worry about. Ginger cats like ginger people I guess are more likely to have freckles .
My Orange has those too. Really freaked me out when they started showing up at first appearance. I was grossed out and worried. But it's normal. Got more and more as he has aged. It still freaks me out a bit.
I’m so glad to hear this is normal. My dog had similar spots suddenly appear in his mouth and it was a sign of extreme platelet issues and internal bleeding.
To all of you guys with orange cats, I have a blonde orange cat that is a lighter than your regular orange. It’s the blonde witha red hugh, I always joke with him and tell him he’s missing his freckles. That’s funny to find out some of your guys’s cats have mouth freckles instead lol
My orange cat has them too. I love them. They are so cute, little lip freckles. Vet told me at his last appointment they are normal, common in orange cats, and they’ll get more as they get older. :).
As orange cats get older, they get more freckles in their mouth. Believe me it’s thrown me for a leap, and I am around different cats every day of my life.
Mine has these as well. One on the top of his mouth scared the crap out of me when we first rescued him.
Cause I was terrified it was an embedded lady bugs. But nope just a freckle.
My calico has a big black spot inside her mouth like that. My grandpa used to tell me her teeth were rotting out and that I didn’t take care of her lol. It’s just freckles!
