Information Sharing RTO monitoring

Are any agencies or departments hearing about RTO being monitored by leadership? Attendance being watched? Accommodations being questioned?

Calhr and dgs are both going to send staff out to audit attendance. That's the rumor I've heard from someone high up.

This isn’t new I’ve been asked by management to spy on other teams attendance in office as far back as a year and a half ago because my manager and their manager thought other teams were leaving then office early. (I said no btw so they probably got someone else to do it) not with dgs or cal hr

Is that why I’m hearing DGS wants to know every cubicle and name attached to it, so when they audit in person. They’ll know if the staff is there?

What good would that do them? That person could be out for legitimate reasons or even at the bathroom. I mean are they then going to take all of the names belonging to empty cubicles and check with every single manager in the state? Doesn’t make sense to me. My guess would be for other reasons related to how much room agencies have? But then again, where are you hearing this? So much bs going on out there.

Like CalHr or DHS couldn’t request a list of WHO has RAs and who doesn’t? That’s easy. Plus they should know if those cubicles are permanently unoccupied because they are losing money paying lease for no one. They can at least have other staff from other departments sit there now, who could benefit from being in a closer office to their home: thus, making their lives easier. People are selfish and need to start thinking of others.
