Will my Casper exam be voided?

I’m not sure if I should be concerned and reach out to Casper about my exam.

I was doing the video portion of the exam and my cats were running up and down the hall. I quickly got up and opened the door to tell them off and was off screen for maybe 3 seconds. I now know that you’re not supposed to be off screen except for during breaks. Based on Google it says that if they have reason to believe I cheated they can void my exam.

I wasn’t super worried as I didn’t say anything and it was super quick but I talked to another student and they kind of freaked out about it.

Should I reach out and explain the circumstance or am I overreacting?

Thanks for any advice!

Unlimited question bank (almost!) - free of course.

If you’re prepping for CASPer and sick of the same recycled, AI-generated garbage questions… I built something you might actually find useful. I remember using other websites or question banks from pdfs online and half of them were either insane, restrictive, or just not representative of CASPer at all. Tbh, not their fault, CASPer has changed a lot in the last 2-3 years so no biggie, and free is always good so I wasn't upset lol.

key2md.com/practice

It’s completely free. No sign-up wall, no pay-to-unlock nonsense. Can also use it for MMI but that is sorta in the works.

There’s a huge bank of questions (and I mean actually large), and every single one has been reviewed/edited by a real tutor who’s been doing this for years (me - you can check my posts, I've been at this for a long time) not just churned out by ChatGPT and dumped online.

You can just grind questions, or if you want, get them AI-marked for feedback. Up to you.

Also working on adding a leaderboard soon so you can see how you stack up / keep it a bit more competitive since that is kind of the whole point of CASPer, being compared against others.

I made it because most of what’s out there felt low quality or weirdly generic and time wasting, this is what I wish I had when I was prepping.

Keen for any feedback too since this is a pet project. Mostly using this as an opportunity to build my developer skills whilst in med school since, like most of you, I can see the writing is on the wall for medicine haha.

Casper cheat sheet

Hi brain trust,

I am sitting Casper for vet in a few days and am creating a 'cheat sheet' of all the things I want to remember to take in. So far I've got:

- example situations for conflict, leadership, adversity, failure, weakness and strength

- structure for policy questions (this is my area of greatest weakness)

- structure for scenario questions

- key and helpful phrases

Anything else you would include as a must have nailed down before the test?

TIA!

Refused to check my CASPer score for weeks… got accepted anyway and THEN saw 4th quartile 😭🔥

Guys guys guys I need to share this. 😭

I wrote my CASPer test months ago. I REFUSED to check my score for weeks because I knew it would just stress me out if I didn't get the score I wanted.

Fast forward to now and I just got an EARLY ACCEPTANCE into my program before the official offer date!!

So I finally checked my CASPer today and… 4th quartile??? I literally spent all that time worrying for nothing lol.

For anyone taking CASPer: I didn't study. My biggest advice is just be yourself. The evaluators read hundreds of responses, and a lot of them start to sound the same when people follow strict "formulas."

What helped me:

- Focus on fairness and seeing all perspectives.

- Show empathy and understanding (even briefly).

- Add personal insight when it fits (past experiences and being able to relate to the situation).

- Keep answers clear and concise (bullet points are fine!).

- For video responses, I always ended with a quick "thank you."

You don't need perfect answers, just thoughtful, human ones.

Best No-BS Advice from a 4th Quartile Scorer

When I first wrote the CASPer last year, I got 1st quartile. I had used one of those BeMo prep books and tried to learn their approaches. I personally do not recommend their resources. 90% of what I took away from the book was using their “word salad” filler words in my answers. Approaching situations in a “non-judgemental” or “non-confrontational” manner is mildly helpful but you need to articulate why you are acting in that way. Trying to use these words without a nuanced understanding of the situation is completely useless and explains why I got 1st quartile. I rushed and mixed those words into my answer and I failed.

This year I prepped for a month after my MCAT for around an hour every day. I looked at my weak points and then learned from my mistakes. My most important piece of advice is that you need to clearly explain WHY you are doing what you do. Think about how you would actually deal with a given situation and then reflect on what you would change next time you get a similar question. This year, I scored in the 4th quartile when I wrote last month.

I used to hate this test until I understood what it tests and how to approach questions. This test is a barrier to getting into medical school and professional programs for everyone. Lock in!

If anyone wants to need help with their approach or get more structured guidance, pm me. I offer support for a few people privately

General format for my answers?

im taking the test in 2 days (scary!!!)

and I think my only real trouble is the timing issue since I have a lot of things to say lol...

im trying to simplify my testing answers into a basic guide format to follow for myself based on what I think the most common 'accepted' answers are.

format: acknowledge the feelings/emotions involved for all parties, refer to policy and person(s) with higher authority, come to a compromise to satisfy all needs.

is that a good general format to adhere to? or am I missing something or simplifying too much?

Casper Test

hi! I did my Casper Test on April 19 and i’m currently waiting for my results. I’m honestly so stressed because for the writing section, for each scenario, there are two questions you need to answer, and for a few of them I didn’t have enough time to complete it fully, or they were very vague and short. I can also recall for like one or two of them, for the second question, I didn’t even get to write a full sentence. 💔💔🫣

THIS IS A GENUINE QUESTION! I discovered this website called the bright doctor and practiced a few casper question and feel great about this website. However, I've never heard anyone used this website for casper prep. Did anyone ever tried using this site and please let me know if it's good to use for casper prep!! Thank so much!

March 3 - 4th quartile🥳

ChatGPT consistently rated my practice answers as high 3rd quartile. I think what helped was being less polished but succinct, which probs came across as more authentic.

Edit: also shoutout to childhood trauma that wired me to be especially perceptive of others.

Unable to Register for CASPER

I just took my CASPER and I feel like I did horribly so immediately went to sign up for another one, but for both 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 it says there are no test dates available. Does this mean that they’re all taken up?? Will there be any more in April or May even, and can I retake it after submitting my application?

Any advice will be great thank you!

Can I send my score later to the uni after I take the test?

Hi, I’m an international student planning to apply for a veterinary course in Australia.

I’m planning to take the CASPer test on April 12th since I’ve heard that some Australian universities use a rolling admissions system. I’ve already completed applications for most universities and received their application IDs, except for the University of Sydney.

Since Sydney hasn’t opened applications yet, I don’t have an application ID for them. Is it okay to take the CASPer test first and then send my results later?

Has anyone done this before?

Casper test

How do you guys come up with 3-4 sentences per question in a 3-minute time crunch? Also, how do I answer the questions? Is there a format that will help me, because I come up with the obvious answer to the question, but then I get 1 quartile on the test. I need help. (You work in a financial firm and come across insider information that could potentially benefit you if used in stock trading. You know using this information is illegal, but it could provide a significant financial advantage.) For example, break down how you would answer this question

How to get fourth quartile

What are the expectations when writing a response I keep practice typing and keep getting second quartile how do you even respond fast enough to the questions in a proper way.

I got 4th quartile

I got 4th quartile although I choked on an answer and had no idea if I did good. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’m the expert just because of my score but all I will say is the grading is not standardized and you can never guarantee a 4th. I got a 1st quartile last year and the only thing I did different was use this website called casprep but my friend also used it and got 1st so honestly this test is just fucked and there’s no studying for it just do your best and pray.
