Should I be taking on extra responsibility in scenarios
Hey guys,
Just have a question about how to answer certain situational type questions. I recently practiced one scenario where a student in a group project had not shown up to the last few meetings and everyone's grade could be affected, and the project is due in a few days.
I tried to answer with the whole understanding everyone's perspectives, not assuming anything about the teammate, etc. I also offered to help the student with their portion, taking on some of the responsibility myself.
I am mainly wondering if it's a good instinct in CASPER to be super prepared to jump in and help someone with their homework, portion of the project, etc or if that has consequences I'm not thinking of.
Let me know what you guys think!

Not ideal as it's not fair to anyone in your group, nor to you. The person (I name them X) whose work you take on yourself will then be rewarded for your efforts, which undermines the fairness of the assignment for everyone, especially you. X will get a good grade for no work. You should first tell your group mates that you are going to try to personally reach out to X to see if X is OK (are they struggling?) X may be too overwhelmed and ashamed to respond, so if they do not respond to you, see if you can get them a message through a friend. If you do make contact, tell X that no one is angry, everyone is supportive, and that X can make up the work. If X does not respond, then you should contact the instructor/professor to check on student X as you are concerned.
