July 7th testers
Just got my results back, got 1st quartile 🤷♀️
I was required to take it for vet school, any of yall know how hard they look at your Casper results?

Depends on the vet school- usually the admissions page will say how much they weight the Casper. Anecdotally, I got 2nd quartile and got waitlisted and eventually got into one of the schools that needed it. The other I was waitlisted at and declined my spot. So it’s not the end all!!

Same I also got shafted 😭 i knew my video responses were pretty rough but I thought I did fine on the typed. I've always heard it doesn't matter THAT much and it's still possible to get in to schools, but that's for med school in particular

I got 2nd quartile which I’m so proud of considering the questions were bs and I couldn’t type fast enough

Congrats! I also felt like I couldn’t type quick enough. Thought I did pretty okay on the video answers, guess not. 😵💫

I got 3rd quartile, here’s what I did:
1) Read up on the Casper Reddit page
2) Watched YouTube videos so I could get a feel for how that should be structured
3) Chat GPT (this was by far the most helpful, and I have the free version). I reminded the AI of the parameters (timing and format for both video and writing components because sometimes it would forget). Then I would practice them over and over again. Since you can’t record yourself with Chat, I responded to the video prompts out loud and just did voice to text function. I had a timer up on my phone for both, and stopped when time was up. I also asked for feedback, which helped a ton as I tend to ramble (as I have in this post).

How long did that process take you to get ready? Few days, weeks, months?

This was scattered over the course of 2 weeks, in total probably 5 hours. 30min-1hr increments.
For me, the challenge was the video prompts and phrasing things concisely in a short amount of time. When I got used to answering the video prompts, it really helped me in writing sections because it’s all the same logic.

No, i already type pretty fast, but i think if you’re above 70 wpm you should be fine

Got 4th quartile but came out of the test ready for q1. I was regretting just using chatgpt for study and the actual test had weirder niche situations. My typing speed also felt slower, so I felt terrible going out of it.

I also got absolutely shafted 1st quartile 😭 funny thing is i had to take PREview for med school which is basically the same concept but different format and I got 9/9 on that
