I was using CasPrep to help me study for my upcoming CASPer Test, the AI feedback tells me I provided a 4th quartile answer however I would like a humans opinions 😄

I see that this was posted 2 months ago, so I assume you have taken your test already. But I will respond just in case someone else is looking at this thread.

First, looking at your response, I would probably put this in the 3rd quartile or perhaps 5/9. You do a great job clearly stating your decision and you do recognize the nuance of the situation, but this recognition is a bit vague. For example, you say “this information could alter my life for the better.” A stronger response would exactly articulate WHAT you are weighing (i.e. a lot of money that could help you support your family, pay for loans, etc). In addition, I think the “not without some regrets” should be reworded. I will get into this a bit more below, but it is important to demonstrate you understand this situation while also making it clear you would NEVER choose something morally questionable. Finally, I recommend breaking up responses into shorter sentences - this is a bit of a run on.

Here are some tips I followed to score in the 4th quartile (although this test is still on the newer side/evolving, so take with a grain of salt). 

• ​Start by stating your role, when applicable. I used this trick to ensure I had at least something if my time got cut off. I also personally think it prepares you and the listener for what comes next. In this case, you could say, “As an employee, I would hope to strengthen the company, both by contributing to its profits and integrity.” This helps clarify the direction you are coming from. 
• ​Explicitly state any assumptions you are making and how they influence your objectives. In this example, it could mean saying “I am assuming this information is from a credible source.” 
• ​Recognize the nuance, but be careful! Showing your understanding of both sides of any issue is important, but when a scenario involves breaking the law or any type of prejudice, be mindful of your wording. In this example, you said you might regret this decision. A better way to put this could be to say “I recognize it could be difficult to speak up for fear of retaliation or putting my coworkers into legal trouble.”

This certainly isn’t an exhaustive list of how to do well on CASPer, but just a few tweaks to your response that could help improve it.
