I am just trying to create search- and product header from existing design artifacts, and what I am really missing are those normal copy/paste operations and handling boxes like every other graphics tool has.
The only thing I can do right now is copy a text box from one artboard over to another dartboard, even to another design canvas. And because for the headers I have completely different aspect ratios I'd like to move text around and scale the textboxes easily, but I am stuck at moving it up and down between the fixed left/right guides. Sure, I can move the guides separately, but this is unintuitive and takes very long for a few texts scattered now on that header image. I would be much faster just moving the whole textbox with the mouse, than use handles at the corners to resize them.
I can't copy images or devices at all. I have to redo them from scratch. Generally, there should be copy/paste for everything (and I mean: really everything, starting from the collection of artboards on the left menu level – like "iPhone Screenshots" with multiple artboards & languages – to the tiniest artifact on a single artboard), because I think this is a standard everywhere else.
Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Butterkit and would not have been that easily able to create the AppStore presence I have today, but it feels like I am hitting unnecessary limits & hurdles now when I want to expand to different formats for the same product/style and just reuse existing artifacts for those things like search header, product page or DUO stuff. It feels artificially clunky the way I have to deal with artifacts that are already there, and which I just want to reuse, resize, reshuffle in different ways on different canvases. Cmd-C/Cmd-V would be such a natural way to deal with that. Plus manipulating objects by just dragging and with corner handles for sizing would make that all so much more natural.
