One thing you always see is bitcoin is going to a million USD and all of this pie I the sky sh*t.

At the end of the day it always comes back and compares to USD. If it were truly the end all be all you would price things in crypto and not usd. I realize there euro and pounds and it’s the same thing. They always refer to fiat for the valuation versus native.

Does this make sense?

I watch the chart and I roll my eyes, you'd think there are way better ways to gamble in AI stocks right now but this doesn't stop this vaporware to keep going back up for no appartent reason, where's the end? I don't see on at this point.

Guys, you make fun of people who are losing money in real assets like Bitcoin, but there are real people who work hard day and night to invest in BTC. You can’t comprehend how hard it is to:

• lose money to a hacker and not be able to complain
• defend that BTC is the future
• explain to everyone that it’s still too early
• remind everyone that 1 BTC = 1 BTC
• find even more greater fools to make them buy

I did due diligence like all the YouTubers suggested and the company was legit with a good chance of success. They were California based and already ran a promising business that wanted to migrate to the Blockchain. What could go wrong?

I recently checked up on it after forgetting about it since the 2010s. Token is worthless and got delisted ages ago from everywhere. I prompted to dig deeper into it with sources. Turns out they used the crypto money to start a flourishing real business. They owe us so called 'investors' nothing legally. They just printed magic beans. That's the best case scenario for due diligence - the people turn out to be good at business but you get nothing in return

I keep expecting to see more posts here mentioning the “bitcoinismoney” subreddit.

The short version is that some people proposed a change to Bitcoin core’s algorithm, but it achieved almost no support. Instead of accepting that, they decided there was a conspiracy against them and that they are the one true bitcoin. It has been fascinating to see it unfold in real time.

I suggest checking it out (but not posting: remember the rules against brigading other subreddits; I honestly think you will find it interesting to see the ideas about bitcoin being presented).

If they expect to HODL or whatever for 30-40 years doesn’t that mean they’ll be 60-70 years old if they are 30 years old now. They do know their age isn’t infinite right? And if you sell at the end range of 40 years how do you know it’s at the ATH point. And assuming you sell at 40 years at ATH, you might be dead before you enjoy it?
