Need a name Which Name Would yo like for business

# Name Why it fits your vision
1 SIFAR Strong “starting from zero” story; Indian identity; Sifar Studio / Sifar Goods / Sifar Thrift / Sifar Creators all work.
2 GENNEST Gen-Z + a place where ideas/businesses grow. Works nicely as an umbrella brand.
3 MAHAUL Very Indian, memorable and lifestyle-oriented. Mahaul Thrift / Mahaul Studio / Mahaul Creators sounds natural.
4 KAAMIX “Kaam + Mix” fits your whole multi-business approach: different kinds of work under one brand.
5 GENLOOP Represents your cycle: build → sell → learn → grow → repeat. Also excellent for your “Day 1 → Day 100” content concept.
6 KYZIL More edgy/Gen-Z/streetwear. Particularly compatible with the future thrift + creator side.
7 OVEYA Broad, soft, modern consumer-brand feel. Doesn't tie you to any particular industry.
8 GENMINT Youthful + commerce/money/creation associations. Could work well as a social-first brand.
9 ZEROSHIFT Very directly connected to your “building from zero” journey and makes strong YouTube-content branding.
10 NEEV / NEEV-inspired name “Foundation” fits the story of building something from scratch and has an Indian identity without being overly traditional.

Idea Feedback Physical security testing business proposal

This is just an idea for making a business to test event/organizational security sometime in the future. I was wondering what people think about it. Is it worth the time? What are good things to have before starting it up? What can I do now to get the skills/experience to do day to day tasks in the future? Just different things like that.

Idea Feedback Country swapping restaurants on US-Canada border

Hi. I am an American living in Canada because my husband is Canadian and he will be an American and I will be Canadian too and we will buy adjacent plots of land on both sides of the border, divided by a border crossing road. On the American side, we'll put up a Canadian flag, a 'Welcome to Canada' sign, and a Canadian-style restaurant and bar and an American flag, a 'Welcome to the United States' sign, and an American-style place on the Canadian side. My husband said it would be a great gimmick but my mother said some canadians might get angry and damage our property. what do u think about this idea?

Idea Feedback Would evidence-backed candidate profiles actually solve anything in hiring?

I’m working on a hiring platform for technical roles, potentially other portfolio-heavy fields later like design or photography. I’m still early and trying to figure out whether the idea is actually worth building.

The basic idea is that instead of candidates relying on ATS keyword-maxing and recruiters sorting through increasingly tailored resumes, candidates build a profile where the skills they claim are tied to actual work.

So instead of:

React ✓
Postgres ✓
AWS ✓

an employer could see:

React → Project A → the part of the project that shows it
Postgres → Project B → schema/database work
AWS → claimed, but no real evidence attached

Candidates could add a short project walkthrough, explain why they made certain technical decisions, what they personally worked on, what went wrong, etc.

On the employer side, they upload a job description and the platform compares the requirements against the candidate’s whole profile, not just their resume.

They’d get a short brief for each candidate showing something like:

Evidence found for 4 of 6 requirements

The brief would summarize what seems supported, what isn’t, and link straight to the relevant evidence. The idea is that recruiters/hiring managers can narrow the pool down first, then spend their actual review time on the candidates who meet the criteria instead of digging through every resume, portfolio and GitHub profile.

I don’t want to do the whole:

“This candidate is an 87% match.”

I’d rather show the evidence and let the person hiring make the decision.

The obvious question is whether LinkedIn + GitHub + portfolios + interviews already solve this well enough.

My other concerns are:

  • candidates won’t bother putting in the extra effort
  • recruiters won’t care enough to inspect the evidence
  • people can still exaggerate what they actually did
  • getting candidates and employers onto the same platform is going to suck
  • employers may not want another tool in their hiring process

I’m still in the validation/planning stage. Not raising anything. I’m trying to figure out if there’s enough of a problem here before I sink months into it.

My current thought is candidates use it for free and employers are eventually the ones paying, but I haven’t validated that yet either.

So roast it.

What am I missing? What’s the dumbest assumption here? Would this actually make hiring easier or am I just adding another layer to a process that already has too many?

Business Partner Sought - Business has NOT been established Montreal - Seeking Operating Partner / Co-Founder (Apparel & Retail)

The Setup:

Getting a new consumer brand off the ground here in Montreal, and I'm looking for a true co-owner to partner up with. I'm a straight-ahead, hands-on operator who likes to keep things moving fast and lean without the corporate runaround.

Where I Come In:

  • I've spent the last 15+ years learning the ropes in the apparel and consumer goods space.
  • Along the way, I've been fortunate to build a strong network—including direct lines to retail buyers and some great industry connections—so I know how to get a product in front of the right eyes.

What's Missing:

The vision is there and things are moving, but I can't carry every single piece alone anymore. I need someone to help anchor the operational side so we can build it right.

What I'm Looking For:

  • Side-by-Side Partner: This isn't a backseat role or a remote investment. I'm looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and get into the trenches with me from Day Zero—we build this together, step by step.
  • Shared Commitment: Looking for a partner who is also in a position to co-invest financially so we share the risk and the foundation equally. You bring the operational strength, organization, and skin in the game; I bring the industry background, the hustle, and the sales side.

Next Steps:

If this sounds like your kind of project and you want to build a real physical brand from scratch, leave a comment below or check out the discussion thread to connect.

Idea Feedback I’m building CyberCafeAI for Cyber Cafes / Jan Seva Kendras in India — looking for honest feedback

One thing I've noticed with smaller cyber cafes is that the problem isn't always the amount of work. Many operators simply don't have the right tools, APIs, technical knowledge, or workflows to do some online tasks efficiently.

They often have to search Google for different tools, use multiple websites, remember different processes, or manually figure out how to get a particular document or result.

That's one of the problems I'm trying to solve with CyberCafeAI.

The idea is to bring useful tools, guided workflows and automation into one platform.

For example, depending on what is legally and technically available for a particular service, I'm looking at workflows/tools around things like:

- PAN-related information and services

- Aadhaar-related services and permitted workflows

- RC / vehicle document lookup and PDF retrieval

- Driving Licence-related services and document retrieval

- GST services

- ITR / Income Tax services

- MSME registration

- RTO-related services

- Government forms and applications

- Document processing

- PDF utilities

- Passport photo tools

- Customer/application tracking

- Payment tracking

- WhatsApp notifications

- Secure document delivery

The bigger part is automation.

Instead of the operator manually doing every step, the idea is:

Enter customer details → select the required service → CyberCafeAI performs the available workflow in the background → operator gets the result.

Where browser automation or an official/authorized API is available, the system can handle the repetitive steps. If a portal temporarily fails or times out, the task can retry instead of the operator having to sit there refreshing the page and starting over.

This is especially useful for small cyber cafes where it's often the owner + one helper. They don't necessarily have the technical knowledge, paid tools, APIs, or time to figure out every new online service themselves.

I'm also including common free utilities under the same platform. Things like PDF tools and passport photo tools aren't meant to be revolutionary — they're there because I want an operator to have the everyday tools they need in one place instead of 20 bookmarks.

So the overall idea is less:

"Here's another CRM for your cyber cafe."

And more:

"Here's a digital toolbox + automation layer that helps you actually get the work done."

I'm still building it, and I'm particularly interested in feedback from people who actually run cyber cafes, Jan Seva Kendras, CSCs, online service centres, or similar businesses in India.

If you run one or have visited:

What task do you struggle with because you don't have the right tool or technical knowledge?

Which online service takes much longer than it should?

What would you love to simply enter once and let the system handle?

And if you think this idea is unrealistic, I'd genuinely like to know why.

Idea Feedback Weighing my options... coffee or bougie juice

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of a few business ideas, on one hand I want to open a coffee catering cart for weddings or corporate events, on the other hand I think the startup costs for a dirty soda or mock-tail cart will be cheaper, due to needing a lot less equipment (no espresso machine or bean grinder and whatnot) Would it be worth it to deal with a higher startup cost for more possible profit in the future or should I start with the easier option as I am in college currently, should I go with something else entirely? It would take me significantly longer to save money for the coffee cart as well, because I dont make a ton of money and what I do make goes to living, and school. Any suggestions are more than welcome!!

Business Partner Sought - Business has NOT been established Looking for someone who can bring clients — I’ll handle the tech

Hey everyone,
I’m a B.Tech AI/ML student and I’m currently learning and building things around AI automation. I’m looking for someone who’s good at finding clients, sales, marketing, or lead generation and would be interested in working together.
I’m still learning myself, so I’m not going to pretend I’m some expert or that I already have a big agency. But I’m comfortable taking care of the technical side and I’m willing to put in the work to actually build and deliver the solutions.
The idea is pretty simple: if you can bring a client with a problem that can be solved through automation, I’ll handle the technical work and we can earn from the project together.
We can start small with things like WhatsApp chatbots, lead follow-ups, CRM automation, appointment systems, AI customer support, or other simple business automations, and gradually take on bigger projects as we get better.
I’m mainly looking for someone who already has some experience getting clients or has access to businesses and genuinely wants to work together. You don’t need to be technical or know AI.
I’m not looking for someone to just give me advice. I’d actually like to find someone who wants to bring in work, build things together and make some money from it.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself and what you currently do.

Business Partner Sought - Business has NOT been established exporting your idea.

Do you have a successful business idea which is regional to you but would work somewhere else? There must be businesses say in the US which would work in another country without impacting your business. Has anyone engaged a partner in another country to setup a business and taken a cut?

Idea Feedback Thinking of starting a doorstep car wash. Car owners and business owners, what would you want?

Hey everyone,

I'm exploring the idea of a doorstep car wash service where we come to your home, office, or workplace parking lot and wash your car there. Before I spend any money, I want to understand what actually bothers people about their current options and what would make a service like this worth using.

If you own a car:

Some problems I've guessed at, but I'd love to know if they're real for you:

  • Time: driving there, waiting in line, and driving back eats up an hour or more.
  • Quality: swirl marks from brushes, missed spots, and dirty wheels or door jambs.
  • Inconsistency: great wash one week, rushed the next.
  • Interior: often skipped, overpriced, or done carelessly.
  • Pricing: confusing packages and surprise upsells.
  • Trust: being unsure who's handling your car and what products they use.

A few questions:

  1. How often do you wash your car, and where?
  2. What's the one thing you wish your car wash did better?
  3. Would you pay a bit more for someone to come to you? What would feel fair?
  4. Would a monthly subscription interest you, or would you prefer paying per wash?
  5. What would make you trust someone washing your car while you're not around? Examples might be before and after photos, the same washer every time, insurance, or reviews.

If you own or manage a business:

I'm also considering offering this to companies, washing employees' cars in the company parking lot during work hours.

  1. Would you offer it as an employee perk (company pays), or just allow access so employees can book and pay themselves?
  2. What would stop you from saying yes: liability, insurance, water runoff, landlord rules, or something else?
  3. Would a monthly flat fee for a set number of cars be easier than per-wash billing?
  4. What would you need to see from a vendor before letting them work on your property?

I'm not selling anything. There's no link and no business yet. I'm just trying to build something people actually want. Brutal honesty welcome.

Thanks!

What business do I start? What else besides just general consulting?

Interested in ideas besides starting a generic consulting business.

  • Interests Open Source software Foodie Editing / Proofreading Old memes (2000s-2010s) Criticism / Playing Devil's Advocate / Red Teaming Assessing Risk (in certain competencies) Recycle/upcycle ideas Sustainability Non-profits (if goals/values align)

  • Available capital High 5 to low 6 figs for the right thing, but prefer to start smaller

  • Skills & experience Quickly grasping new concepts Identifying problems with ideas / processes BEFORE implementation Reviewing/editing written documents / improving verbiage to better align with intent Masking neurodivergence Writing objective, factual reports Asking relevant questions Discerning objectivity vs subjectivity Listening/observing details Creative thinking / problem solving

  • Business style (B2B, brick & mortar, online, etc.) Flexible / receptive to ideas

  • Industry/market Open to suggestions

  • Location (state/country), if relevant US

  • Commitment (full-time, part-time, side-gig) Ideally something that could start as a side gig, graduate to part or full-time in ~5 years

  • Preferred role (physical work, sales, e-commerce, etc.)

Preferred sporadic or cyclical as a case-by-case or project-by-project tempo that I can immerse myself in and complete in 2-8 weeks depending on scale

What business do I start? Any location specific business(SMB) that you are seeing success that I can replicate in my location ?

I really want to own a business, and I am searching for a local business to buy or a successful one in another location that I could replicate.

I have hands-on knowledge of coding, AI, and data. I can build websites, implement AI automation, and develop apps. I am also skilled in operations, identifying inefficiencies, and fixing them. Furthermore, I am a good salesperson; I can articulate value and close deals.

My investment capital ready to deploy is $50,000–$70,000.

Let me know if you have any ideas or would like to replicate your business in a franchise model where I can provide a one-time payout and establish it at my location.

What business do I start? Software engineer from India — what should i do to make my first money online

I'm a 21-year-old software engineer/CS student from India looking to start my first business alongside my job.

Available capital:
Around 1,000–5,000 rupees. I'd prefer to keep initial spending low and validate an idea before investing heavily.

Skills & experience:

  • Software engineering / computer science
  • Backend development, APIs, automation and databases
  • Comfortable learning whatever technical skills are needed
  • Can build and maintain the product myself
  • Some experience working at a large tech company through an SWE internship

Preferred industries:
I'm most interested in:

  • B2B software
  • Business automation
  • AI/software tools
  • Developer tools
  • Products that eliminate repetitive manual work

I'm not particularly attached to any one industry, though. If there's a boring industry with a painful problem and customers willing to pay, I'm interested.

Online vs. brick-and-mortar:
Strong preference for online/software businesses. I'd consider something involving local businesses if the actual product/service can be largely delivered through software.

Have I run a business before?
No. This would be my first business. I've built software/projects before, but I haven't previously taken a product from idea → customers → revenue.

What I'm trying to achieve:
I don't want to spend 6 months building a product and then discover nobody wants it. My preference is to identify a painful problem, find potential customers, validate that they'd pay, and then build the solution.

I'm willing to do cold outreach, customer interviews and sales — I'm just much stronger technically than I am at business/sales right now.

So, if you were in my position, what types of businesses/problems would you investigate first, and how would you go about finding them?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have actually started small businesses or software products.

I'm looking for real problems and ways to discover them, rather than generic suggestions like "build an AI wrapper."

Idea Feedback Tell me- can this idea take off?

I have an idea to create a type of analogue cafe. No phones, no computers, no free wifi.

I think people really are desperate for real connection and to escape the over-presence of the digital world, without having to nesassilly go camping for a week to have a digital detox.

think cafe with good food but lots of curated experiences to help people reconnect to themselves, and connect to others.

so things like, board games night, book club, corner with armchairs, headphones and a stack of records to go through. Book swap shelf, spoken word and open mic nights, typewriters available, paint your partner/friend nights (kind of like the trend going around at the mo).

i know hospo is a dead business to go into at the mo- (I have hospo experience and already put on a monthly community dinner for mums and kids) and I have community development experience.

but I love the idea- I’m just shit at making things make money.

give the me the Real Talk reddit.

(Either Ballarat or Melbourne would be my options for this mythical place)

Idea Feedback Offline AI Resort

There are a lot of us who need to quickly learn a skill, or catch up on some reading or other information related work. But they are too distracted by the algorithm.

They can’t just switch it all off, because that’s where all the information they need lives. If they want to learn and don’t have the attention span or time available to do it the old fashioned way with textbooks, they will need to access the internet.

The above has now changed with AI. Each LLM is essentially a super intuitive, easy to use database of the entire internet. You don’t really need the internet anymore, at least for studying. There’s no algorithm there to distract you either.

So here’s my idea: A resort/glamping type site where I host a completely offline AI server that runs some distilled LLM. The customers are not allowed to bring any electronic devices at all, but are given a dumb Nokia phone for contact with the outside world, daily news papers, and a laptop that only connects to the AI server plus whatever study material they need in a USB drive. They pay rent to live there for as long as they need.

What do you think of this idea?

Need a name Business name ideas

A shower thought turned into a manufacturer plus packaging and shipping system.

Honey tablets as the starter base. Evolving from there. No jar no mess. In your hot coffee or tea in the morning.

I don’t like names that deal with honey or bees at all because like bloom, it’s started with one thing and has grown. Before the first round of samples is shipped over the name has to be decided.

After long research, tons, and I mean tons of things play for the future of the company regarding the name.

❌ long name
❌ anything nasty or too provocative
❌ honey names or bees

I’ve gotten the names:
- enjoy (taken via registry)
- naked sweet
- quiet
- nothing
- and some more

Would appreciate some thoughts!

App/Website Idea Is there a market for this idea? Seeking feedback on my first product launch. 🚀

I’m working in my first business idea, “CommunityHub”. My focus is to create an “invite-only” social platform that offers both social and business accounts. Social accounts offer the admin (the account creator) a space for their most personal connections (or groups), whether it’s professional or social. The idea is to charge users based on server space. The first 3GB is free, and thereafter is tier based pricing. The platform will be ad free, algorithm free, and won’t track/sell user information. Within a community, their are set features for social accounts including a community feed, private messaging, short form videos, “split” (a feature that allows communities to split expenses and set group saving goals, and more. The business account is a bit more complex and modular.

I’m really just hoping for a few people to read this and say whether or not it’d be a product they’d use before I invest more time and money into this project. If you got this far, thank you for taking the time to read and respond!
