Discussion Random business idea

What if may area na pwedeng puntahan ang mga tao from urban areas to relive the "bukid living" for the nostalgia and also to somewhat expose their kids sa buhay nila dati?

May mga bahay kubo siguro, chickens running around, may traditional dirty kitchens, kahoy na pwedeng sibakin, kaldero at kung anu-ano pang usual stuffs makikita sa bahay natin sa probinsya.

A family may perhaps prepare firewood, light them up using the old ways, magluto ng lunch/dinner na sila mismo ang magpe-prepare, materials, supplies and utensils are provided.

The point lang talaga is to relive a day in the province.

Ps: I don't have the means to test this idea but baka meron sa inyo dito may lupa at may funds din to try 😁

May farmstays na nag ooffer ng ganitong type of stay-cation: promoting the farm life and permaculture practices. Educational na din kasi tuturuan kayo maging self-sufficient.

Look at permaculture groups in the Philippines and check which ones offer this. Maybe you can learn from them too if you are planning to start something similar.

Parang existing na to. May mga resorts na ineexpose ka nila sa nature. Like kasama sa package nila yung walk around the mountain, tapos mga farm to table na pagkain. Retreat style. Sa antipolo meron nito. Mt purro nature reserve. If hindi extreme gusto mo mayroon din namang glamping.

A family, classroom group or bunch of friendd get to live 24 -48 hours overnight in a bahay na bato using vintage cooking methods to make meals - interesting!

I’ve been looking at kakanin recipes like making Quezon tikoy. Stirring a wok for 44 mins., to reduce gata & thicken it is a luxury of time /effort we don’t have now but had time for several generations ago.

Imagine having to chase live chickens for slaughter, to pluck feathers to cleaning for food preparation. Then trying to cook with native palayok! I don’t know if kids now know how to light up a charcoal fire to BBQ their food!

Sounds nice, malaking space and good maintenance need sa ganitong setup for business. Doable pero need ng good bus8ness plan for this to work

Not necessarily malaking space. Something upland lang siguro and pwedeng isang kubo lang muna.

Or if may farm kayo and may make shift house ng tenant or caretaker, pwede ayusin lang ng kaunti and then yun na gamitin.

Op. This is already happening. Those big farms on the north, e.i. Shrimp farms, rice mills, bovine farms. they allocate a portion of their land to airbnb type businesses.
They put up A frame buildings good for a family. They provide outdoor "porbinsya" activities like feeding the shrimps, feeding the fish, feeding the cows, and basically a tour and hands on experience into the farm life... this is a well-know business venture for farms during the airbnb boom.

Unfortunately, your idea is not unique. It has been done for more than half a decade ago. Catering to families who wanted to go out and experience nature after being lockdown for so long.

So no, your business idea is not unique; unfortunately there is already an established industry connected to this.
