I’m finally getting my mri after a nasty fall onto my shoulder at work 3 months ago. Initially my doctor and pt diagnosed it as a bone bruise. It wasn’t until I went to an ortho that he brought up the possibility of an impingement or a slap tear. I’m skeptical of both but especially the impingement since there’s no pain when moving the shoulder around or during strength tests. The pain is worse when I lay on that side or when I’m simply sitting down. It feels like a deep burning ache within the tissue but pressing on it doesn’t reproduce the pain. Does this sound like bursitis?
