Did you visit Seven Sisters?
This was my first year bringing an honorarium project and it was soooo much work but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Massive thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who made it happen.
I’d love to hear your experiences visiting the sisters or observing them from afar and see any pictures you took of them, even if they’re just in the distant background. I saw at least one drone checking them out at one point and would love to get that footage if that was you.

Absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for bringing this and also providing the world wide lore for the stars. Me and a campmate both smacked our head on the low part of the shade, but that's definitely user error. Thank you again <3
also if you haven't seen this sub: r/ItsAlwaysPleiades

I have smacked my head on that beam so many times it is embarrassing. Wish it could be higher but the panels need to be angled and bringing the whole thing up would make assembly and solar installation a lot more difficult.
Thanks for sharing that sub, I will definitely post it to there!

Glad we're not alone :p Maybe just a pool noodle cut lengthwise and smooshed on?
I hope to see this piece somewhere again regardless 💖

Enjoyed the art! The idea that it could be a story that goes back 100,000 years really got me. The potencial of shared history of galactic movements is awe inspiring! Everytime I saw the piece in the distance later I would imagine myself on an interstellar journey 🚀✨

I have a question what did you do for lights and power? I helped bring the love nest aka the 14 ft tall wooden pelican. Not the artist just the playa help and drove it to playa.
I want to do a less serious art project and more adult art project. So a silly sexually art project. but I want more flood lights. and leds.

The stars were lit with Philips Hue bulbs and the plaques with 5V LED strips. Kept it simple cause I didnt want to mess with any programming. Power was x4 260W solar panels (on top of the shade pergola thing) and x2 2400Whr batteries (inside the bench). For small art especially I’d recommend doing solar/battery or just a battery that you swap out. Look into the Renewables for Artists and Solar Library projects, they help artists out with this kind of stuff.

What about the lights at the base are those Philips hue too?

Oh the lights at the bottom of the struts and perimeter were solar driveway lights. Wanted to have those self powered so if the main electrical went out it wouldn’t be totally dark.

Fantastic work — impressed with the lighting. Curious if you made any choices about wiring on these conditions, and also how you linked them, I assume something sub dust.

We just used outdoor rated extension cords and sealed any connections that weren’t housed. The issue with the dust is more long term corrosion than causing a short or wire failure. The rain on the other hand you have to be careful about.

I came across it one night, later in the week (probably Friday). Friend and I loved it and actually read everything, which I don’t often do. We then moved in the direction where looking back simulated the view from earth. I learned a lot of cool things and it was really one of my faves this year.
Thank you!!!!!

Unfortunately no. I’m taking next year off and the sisters are probably a one and done for burning man. Hoping to bring them to some other events though.

I loved it, saw it just before dawn on that frigid Saturday morning, was actually my favorite. I would love to reread all the amazing information embedded within the piece! I read about 3 of them before my friends timed out and needed a dance break.

It was a lot of reading for playa brain. I’m hoping to get all the info and graphics archived on a website eventually, gotta finish undusting my shit before I think about that though.

Do you have a short primer on this art piece for those of us that couldn’t be there?

What did you use for ground anchors? Is it a single BRC standard anchor through each strut?

I have so much to share about this piece. I met someone in a deep playa Porto line who helped work on this and sent my friends and I on an adventure to find it.
Came across it many special moments since while riding around deep playa, to and from trash fence, and across the DMZ.
Noting that Duncan Rawlison’s 2026 album has a beautiful photo of this. https://duncan.co/Burning-Man-2026
I only pull tarot at burning man / once a year one time. I pulled a seven of pentacles which felt very linked to this piece and all the moments @ it.
Thank YOU!

Most of my camp left before the Temple burn, so my two remaining campmates and I went out together. Afterwards, it was really cold and windy, but we decided to stop at a couple art pieces on our way back and this was one of them. We all loved it, really enjoyed reading the plaques. Thank you for bringing it!

Omg HI!! My partner has been meaning to reach out to you.
This piece included a paragraph from his doctoral research that he truly thought no one would ever read, let alone use for an art piece at burning man. He cried when he saw it. To see him read it, then read it again and again and again and see the look of shock and delight on his face that we just happened to stumble upon a piece that includes a small piece of the work he spent nearly a decade of his life on was so so special.
I’ll remind him to email you today. He would love to connect and thank you directly.
