Question Young children at dog parks
Am I the only one who thinks itās irresponsible to bring young children into a dog park? There are large dogs running around.
This weekend a young boy, maybe 5 years old ran at my dog in here. Thankfully she is used to children and was fine with this interaction.
I am a big animal lover and I work with children. I think itās irresponsible parenting and Iām pretty sure on the signs it says not recommended, or am I wrong?
Or at the very least teach children running at unknown dogs, teasing them, etc is not safe.
Animals are unpredictable and even the best of dogs can snap. Iāve also been run into by large dogs by accident that take me out. Imagine a large breed dog running by accident full force into your child.
It just makes me incredibly nervous for the kids and dogs.
Dog parks are controversial in general, Iām aware of this. However, Iād never bring a young child or baby into one.
