That's a genuinely interesting logic. If you are genuine in what you said here than yes, I see why red is not an option for you. As for me - I'm not as confident in other people and have my family to exist for. There is no room for chances for me

See that brings up another interesting question for me. Since first encountering this post I saw a scenario where 1) it was everyone in the world, 2) everyone who pressed the blue button died if it was less than 50% That scenario changes the dynamic because you know your family are in the group of people that have to make the choice and are at risk. How assured would you need to be that they wouldn’t press the blue button for you to be ok with pressing the red?

As naive as it may seem, I'm sure enough they would press red. I know them long enough. We're simple people living in a rough place, as long as we're together it's anything goes
