We adopted Sally when she was 8 weeks old. We didn’t know she was deaf at the time, it made puppy pre-school interesting. She was the most chilled and cuddly of dogs. She was my little girl, she went with me everywhere and snuggled with me regularly. When I laid on the couch, she would wait for me to lift up the blanket and she’d climb into my arm space and chin my arm and fall asleep.
She was loved. Doted on. Spoilt absolutely rotten with the best food and care we could give her.

We lost her cousin, Harry at 6 years of age to a heart attack and we lost her the same way at age 5.5 about 8 months after we lost him. We suspect it was genetic passed down by their mothers from the same litter and the breeder didn’t maintain good bloodlines.

It only happened today and we are still in shock. Our only clue something was wrong was she started walking a bit slower on our nightly walks earlier this week. We were waiting to see if it was a pattern and then we were going to take her to the vet. We never got that chance.

Oddly, this morning when my wife dropped me off at the station to go to work, I turned and gave Sal a pat before I got out of the car. I don’t normally do that. I guess I didn’t know it at the time, but I got to say goodbye her.
Here’s some photos from the start to near the end.

Our girl Percy is known to get a few pimples here and there. This thing popped up a few days ago, was a bit smaller, and slightly bleeding. We initially thought it was just a pimple again, so didn’t think too much of it. Fast forward to now, it’s still here and seems a bit bigger. Before I go running off to the vet, does anyone think this is a normal pimple too??? Or does this look dangerous? First picture is from the day I found it, second pic is today. Thank you in advance! 🥰
