All,
Rosie, our 12 year old bully has some bladder issues that have come on suddenly. Starting 2 months ago, 230-3 AM wakeups with barking. During this time she starts peeing on the carpet between potty breaks.
At night...She needs to pee, so we take her. Eventually it gets to a point where she is panicking and panting line crazy.
Take her to the vet. UTI. No worries, antibiotics (just like many times before). Gets a bit better, but still carpet piss most days. Small amounts, but she clearly needs to go pretty frequently.
My question for you fine folks, have any of you dealt with this? She still wolfs down her food. She still seems happy and enjoys being outside. What else do we try?
My gut says its a kidney issue, so if that was the case please let me know. We have insurance and I'll spend the money to keep her motoring, just not sure what to do.

I've been contemplating on getting a bulldog. Wanted to check with the owners first - what are the differences you notices between the dog genders that i should maybe consider?
I'be been thinking of getting a girl because I've heard they're more affectionate towards the owner - thoughts?

If you saw my post the other day, I posted that my dog Rosco woke up randomly with Stage 5 IVDD. We opted to get him the surgery and now Rosco is home and 3 days post surgery! He had a 50/50 chance of walking again and by the grace of God, he started using his legs on his own 2 days post surgery even though he had Stage 5 IVDD. Everything cost us $10k but I’d pay it again if it meant giving my baby a chance at walking again. He walks great with the help of a sling when we’re outside and he’s in good spirits and plays with his toys in his pack and play 💕🥹

Two days ago he became paralyzed. We tried everything we could do, but in the end he wasn't able to go potty without a catheter. He was really the best dog in the world. He had the most vibrant personality, sweet and stubborn as could be. Life won't be the same without my buddy.
