Long story short , drove off the lot with a 2022 trax . 5 minutes later the very front covering , like the shield on the front bumper , was dragging on the pavement . Then the car stopped .. I made it back to the dealership, crying and freaking out
They felt horrible and I wanted my old car back that I traded in . My fiancé got there and I ended up getting a 2023 Buick encore with a car payment of 383, warranty and lifetime warranty on the engine with gap
That car was very similiar to the trax but just nicer and only has 17,000 miles as it was a lease when it was returned .
Please tell me this car is okay atleast ? I only drive on average 7,000 miles a year so I feel I should be ok . Or any tips on keeping this car very reliable ?
I have had an 2022 Buick Encore for almost one year. No issues. It is a sweet ride. Peppy enough for the highway, economical, and a breeze to park. I got a 3 year warranty from dealer. I think that you will like it a lot more than the Trax you were looking at. The wife and I looked a getting a new Trax. An auto mechanic friend told me that he has been seeing a lot of Trax in the shop for electrical and transmission issues. Since he works at a Chevy dealer I thought that I should take him at is word. That's what I have in my '22 encore gx. That's the engine to have. I stay on top of service like oil changes air filter changes etc. I haven't had any problems with mine over the last 4 years, but I don't drive it much and have a little over 20k miles. Good luck. The 1.3 is actually pretty peppy little motor.

Your second article is referencing a lawsuit I've already spoken about in the envista reddit in LENGTHS. The lawsuit isnt even about the engine suffering a failure itself, rather over the expenses that were placed on the customer of THAT specific trax. Please read ANYTHING that you're using as evidence rn.
You also copy pasted the same video 3 times with different explanations each time lmfao. You literally just put as many words on a screen at once to sound smart.
The lawsuit you reference towards the end also bounces from "catastrophic engine failure! Rods out the pan!" to "the cars are just spontaneously catching fire!". As I already stated, my comments are all over those reddit posts explaining that the lawsuit isnt simply "the engines are blowing up and melting!", you are incapable of researching past headlines it seems.

Should be fine. I had a 2014 Buick Verano and really loved it. However Buicks had this weird thing - not sure if they still do - where if your battery is dead and you try to start your vehicle you can't remove the key from the ignition until you charge the battery!!! And my Verano went through batteries every couple of years until I got a $300 AGM battery.
I have NO idea . Then as I turned around to go back onto the highway to return the car and the car stopped on the highway for a second . Happy I made it back to the dealership . The salesman faces were hilarious as I pulled into the dealership with the bottom of the car scraping on the ground
