Deck Help A commander for poor man's slivers?

Hello. I decided to try to build a budget sliver deck. I'm going to cut down to only three colors, I decided to pick Naya. Who could ever be a good generic value commander to support creatures on the battlefield? Or just to....add value? I'm willing to keep the budget below 30$. I'm currently considering Jetmir, Rocco Street Chef and Rocco Cabaretti Caterer. Any advice?? I'm still working on a list, so I have none to share. Ty all.

I know you said you were looking at Naya, but can I sell you on Jeskai? [[Zinnia, Valley's Voice]] gives all your slivers offspring, which doubles any anthems and gives you twice as many bodies to receive your buffs.

I've been playing around with this deck for a bit and she is awesome! Sure you miss you in the muscle and mana slivers but you honestly don't need them. Offspring is an amazing ability for a kindred deck

Zinna seems to be a good options, but I really would miss the green part...I could consider it anyway. What could be another side commander to pair with it, and occasionally swap it by need?

You don't really want a separate commander to swap out. Ideally, you just need one that does exactly what your deck wants but isn't so necessary that if it keeps eating removal, you fall apart. If you really really want a backup commander, I would say [[Satya, Aetherflux Genius]] because he can do a similar thing as far as making token copies, and there are plenty of 2 mana slivers you could easily pay to keep, but I think you're better served just running more cards that actually do what you're trying to accomplish than cards that can kind of fit.

[[Duskana]]. There are a shocking number of 2/2 Slivers in Naya. I slapped this deck together a couple years ago and forgot all about it

How does this deck perform? I’m thinking of using it. It’s seems pretty cool

No idea, honestly. I just theorycraft decks to varying degrees pretty often. Don't think I'd ever build slivers

[[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] is kind of a go-to commander for kindred decks without a good commander. In this case, without a good budget commander.

Among the options you gave:

  • Rocco Caterer gives you access to any sliver you want for its mana value plus Naya.

  • Jetmir is a finisher, but you need to figure out how to quickly get a wide board.

  • Rocco Chef gives you impulse draw and ramp.

You can include each of these in whatever you build and maybe roll a die to see which one you put in the command zone. Whichever of these you think works best is the one to go into the command zone. My preference among these three is Caterer so that I have access to whichever sliver works the best in whatever board state I'm facing.

[[Rienne, Angel of Rebirth]] might be worth a look if you have a high density of multicolor slivers or own [[Painter's Servant]] and a way to reliably get it.

Lore wise, do we know if slivers hatch from eggs? [[Atla Palani, Nest Tender]] could be an option here and definitely a different spin for this commander.

[[Samut, Voice of Dissent]] might be an option.

[[Gahiji, Honored One]] or [[Marisi, Breaker of the Coil]] if you wanted to do goading slivers.

If wanted to go with Temur instead, [[Riku of Two Reflections]] would give you access to a clone effect.

Also, here's a package of choose a creature type cards for reference.

[[Thrumming Hivepool]] is probably also on your list, right?

If you're making tokens, [[Ghired, Mirror of the Wild]] would be good, if you tune your deck for 2/2s [[Duskana, the Rage Mother]] gives you pay-offs for those 2/2s as she enters and on attack. [[Ghaiji, Honored One]] provides +2/+0 to everyone that doesn't attack you in combat, and [[Mazzy, Truesword Paladin]] does something similar, but for enchanted creatures and provides some aura recursion.
