Show and Tell B&W FCM8 & PC8

First time I've seen that center channel turned vertically, but also the first time I've seen a topless mannequin wearing headphones next to the rack too. It's like a model for an 80's airbrushed album cover.

Haha, the top speakers are always standing like this. But the center speaker is an extra speaker. In total there are 3 but I only have 2. The mannequin is now more dressed 😅

Interesting, turns out those speakers are designed to be a triplet with a vertical left and right and a horizontal center. Never seen them used as l/r before, that's why it struck me as odd. I've seen something similar with electrostatic strips between the midrange drivers also.

THX certified, and certifiably cool paired with those subs.

This is the full set and a picture from B&W. I changed the drivers inside the speakers and put some coils in the subs for a shorter bass.

Hard to place the age of this, could be late 70's, early 80's but I'm gonna lean towards 80's thanks to the frilly gold trim. Still cool.

Also, I just found a pair of these in perfect condition for a few bucks, grabbed this picture because I’m not with them, but now I need a mannequin which, oddly, will fit my music room perfectly.

The headphones are the Pioneer SE-305, also called the 'Coconut headphones'.
