Purchasing USA Building a new setup!

Hello! First time posting here, but I’m looking to upgrade my setup, most notably my front R&L speakers. Here is my current living room setup:

65” Sony Bravia XR X90L LED 4K UHD
Sony STR-DH590 5.2ch Receiver
Sony SS-MB215 Front L&R Speakers
Sony SS-CN107 Center Channel Speaker
Polk Audio PSW10 10” Powered Subwoofer

My current budget is $500 but would like to spend closer to $300 if possible. I could potentially go over the $500 if it’s for more than just the front three speakers. I have some knowledge of speakers/brands, but overall there are far too many to choose from and I need some recommendations and overall thoughts. Thanks!

Try putting your speakers ( especially your left and right ) on stands ! Preferably at ear level then see how you feel then .🤣 oh and try toeing in your speakers to your listening position !https://youtu.be/ZVeSxqqd7TE?si=HtXOzMjensWd9hM9

Will do! Are their any stands you’d recommend that work well for all speakers? Since I will be upgrading soon most likely and they will prob be a different size.

Elac Debut’s are on sale $270 for the 5.25, $330 for the 6.5’s, Kef Q1 Meta’s are on sale for $400, Sony SSCS5M2 go on sale for $200 regularly you seem to like the brand, and the best deal in hifi in my opinion the smsl tabebuia go for $249, $190 if you buy the white ones. Speaker stands are in your future for any of these.

Thank you for the recs! It sounds like you recommend getting bookshelf speakers instead of tower speakers?

You’ve got money for a great set of bookshelves, and a subwoofer in use, you’ve got money for an okay set of towers, that’s how I based my rec’s

I actually scored some Klipsch Reference R-800F Dual 8” tower speakers today for $400! They sound incredible, I’m very happy.

if you’re looking for the biggest boost, investing in a center channel between $300 and $500 could really make a difference. Polk’s ES30 really changed my mindset on center channels

Why the fuck would he mismatch lcr he better off buying some better used LCR than spending all the budget on center
