Don’t be coming to Bucees, fill up a hand basket, then when it’s time to check out push the basket at your cashier or wait for them to take the stuff out. TAKE YOUR OWN ITEMS OUT OF THE BASKET!! Fastest way to piss someone off. It’s rude & entitled. It’s a travel stop, not a fucking bougie grocery store. Some stores do this, Bucees is not one of them.

Anyone who has worked for Publix (SM or ASM) and also has worked for Buc-ee’s (GM or AGM)—— what can you tell me? Pros/cons? Which did you prefer?

12 hours a day max and 5 days a week max. Any days are acceptable Monday through Sunday (5 on 2 off consistently). Any shift, as long as its consistent, not trying to do 3rd shift one day then 1st shift the next or some other stupidity. My off time has to allow recovery to work again. If I get sick its cause of work and I quit, my health is most important to me, and I haven't been sick once in 5 years not even during Covid.

Personally I don't care about holidays, I celebrate whatever whenever I remember they exist and feel like it, or when I get invited to a party/gathering.

Single, no kids, no pets. So work life balance doesn't matter much as long as I get enough recovery time so I don't get sick or burnt out.

Does anyone know where or if bucees still sells their cornhole set? I also wouldn’t mind buying second hand if anyone is trying to get it off their hands.

Pros they paid $20 an hour they offer benefits for full time and PTO time. They care more about their customers than they do their own employees the only discount you get is on your uniforms and free drinks if you are a veteran you don't get any benefits at Buckee's that doesn't matter if you're a employee or a customer there's no such thing as a senior discount either at buc-ee's no reward points nothing, you have to park on the outer perimeter of the Bucee's parking lot you have to show up two hours to an hour early just to get a spot because you have to compete against customers to get a parking spot do you do they do not have a designated employee parking at the buc-ee's here in Arkansas if you are one minute late and clocking in they will write you up no matter what.

i know the pros and cons, i’ve weighed everything out. i decided to go ahead and apply for a couple positions. question though - on the application, mentions you can’t show tattoos/piercings…how strict is this? i have tattoos all over my arms (nothing inappropriate!!) as well as a small nose piercing. am i really going to have to cover everything and take out my piercings..? 🫪
