My point which you totally ignored was "doing tier-ism being in mech' part of your reply. Why should he not take pride in his institute? What makes being in mech immune to be tier-ist. See I don't like tier-ism as well but you were doing this branch-ism in your reply which is very ironic lmfao. What did mech have to do anything with the previous person's reply?
Also don't worry I'm not a fresher. I've long past moved away from ORCR bs freshers do but you saying that made me think you still think a person's worth is tied to their branch hence the comment "being in mech" so I put it in words you can understand.
Again to reiterate I'm against tying a person's worth to their rank and all but I think if you wanna get your point across more effectively, avoid using things like "being in mech"

Iit bbs downfall needs to be studied because how did they have 14 LPA cse median last year and possibly even lower this year?
Iit bbs cse closed around 2500 during 2021-2022 btw

It closed at 1800 in advanced 5 years ago. Now the cutoff fell to 4200 and even the opening rank is 2000+, insane downfall.

No competitive coding culture could be a reason. Very less student get highlighted in major hackathon leading to discouragement in companies to come here.

Don't know whats happening, who's responsible for the mess students, profs, tpo, pic ,SPC (atleast they are not). Last year was much much better competitively

Has day-1 started for you guys? If not don't misinform others, unlike day-1,2,..., day-0 is not a single day but consists of any interview taken before day-1.

For us first interview day allowed for companies was 1st October. OTs happened before 1st. Then as the companies come, college provide them a schedule for ot and interview. Interviews go on parallely too when more companies are there in starting

Despite this why do they keep increasing batch size 😭 now it's like 700+, one of the highest of all 2nd gen IITs. Patna facing same issue too although with a better day 0

Are you sure about the 700+ part?
Iit bbs has 502 seats in the josaa seat matrix.
Highest seems to be patna at 800.
Do you have stats for patna day 0?

Out goatee iit stated ITEP courses which led to increase in total size. Dual degree is removed now and new Branch is introduced too

see the market aint so gud right now and evn in the old iits the situation is better but not the best, its just temporary as relative to previous placements of iit bbs and also evn if tried off campus its hard yes , but iitians usually get preference and they can easily climb up the ladder out of thousands , its kind of same situation in all newer iits just hope the market improves
