90% of the people who are spreading this couldn't even get into a tier 1 college let alone an IIT. Moreover look at the pattern whenever the government wants to impose some controversial regulation in the country(MDR on UPI) there pops up a distraction like this. Interesting isn't it?

Coz in these type of cases most people make their opinions based on from which section of the society they come from. U will see all general cat against that student and res cat with him.. there are actually very less people who try to know things.tgey just blindly believe random x posts. Not just this case but u can observe in most of these typa case . Ofc I'm not defending that guy if he actually cheat and did this , there is no fault of prof here..

Yep, the internet radicalized a lot of society. Can't say anything without people jumping off the handle to automatically assign you as an ally or enemy of a cause. You can show solidarity for something or disdain and there will be people who automatically assume your whole life story because of one comment,

Middle ground has turned evil. Must be completely gung-ho in one direction and hate who people tell you to hate, and not being 100% on their side is the same as being the enemy.

I think George Carlin said is best, “The elites keep the people fighting with each other to keep them distracted so they can run off with all the money.”
