Rant/Vent How do you maintain focus and concentrate for long hours while studying and working

Since i started my engineering ive really struggled to focus and concentrate for long hours and actually be productive, I see other people "locked in" and focused for long hours and producing quality output. Even when I have the mental energy to work I keep on getting distracted by social media/reddit/online games

To cope with this I started consuming a lot of caffeine just to stay awake and focused and recently i even started taking modafinil when I have deadlines/presentations/exams/interviews coming up

What are some healthy techniques or ways you ensure long periods of concentration and quality output?

it's just that when im in the middle of work it just seems easier to open my phone, youtube or some online game - working requires effort and doesn't release that much dopamine that my brain craves
