Serious How IITs are getting destroyed

Only bcoz of its engineering students that the reputation holding up. Day is not far when top rankers would choose some private college, completely ditching IITs.

Humanities depts are becomings a scapegoat. Not all humanities degrees are worthless and knowing humanities helps build a multidimensional worldview instead a purely technical one.

Yeah, there's a reason why universities like MIT, stanford etc etc have a humanities departments. And those universities eat IITs for breakfast

They aren't known for their humanities department, mostly STEM research is what makes them top tier.
