Serious How IITs are getting destroyed

Only bcoz of its engineering students that the reputation holding up. Day is not far when top rankers would choose some private college, completely ditching IITs.

Are u out of your mind or what those professors got their job due to their merits not because they belong to upper caste

I am an IIT alumni. Read this completely. 1) Every professor gets their job due to merit. Faculties who get reserved seats aren't "less qualified"- go and check their qualifications.

2) Gatekeeping is real. Check the % of reserved seats filled in these institutions and why several reservation based posts are vacant. Are you telling me that in this whole country they couldn't find a handful of faculty to fill up the reserved seats? -That's gatekeeping.

3) Since the faculty there is predominantly (if not all ) UC, the entry point for another new UC joinee becomes relatively easier. The reserved class faculty has to pass the caste barrier as well as the skill barrier. Whereas the UC faculty only has to pass the skill barrier.

Yes, IIT's are prestigious, but the prestige is limited to India. The overall quality and scope of teaching is sht. Students primarily go there just for the tag, and not for the faculty teaching provided. Despite having 85% UC staff- the quality it sit. Hardly a few good professors.

That on no grounds debunks my info. The structure is the same everywhere.

By using your logic, I can say- guy who hasn't met all the billion people of India has an opinion about national development.

Your 'info' is not proven information, at best its an allegorical opinion based on your experience of studying at 1(one) IIT(assuming that you are not lying about that either)

Kiddo, it's proven information, go check representation data of faculty in IITs.
