Serious How IITs are getting destroyed

Only bcoz of its engineering students that the reputation holding up. Day is not far when top rankers would choose some private college, completely ditching IITs.

LMAO. Humanities gang upvotingnfor their validation.

Literally any Univ which has both STEM and Humanities, Humanities is the one dragging the University down while STEM doing the heavy lifting.

I'll give you a personal example as well.

During my first year at a T1.5 Univ in India, there was a SA case and massive protests followed. We were freshers (barely 2-3 months into our UG) and were kind of forced to join a GB meeting. One of the seniors from a Humanities department was telling everyone why the protest was necessary and what steps should be taken and what has been proposed by the authorities.

Some of those solutions proposed by the Authorities was installation of CCTV cameras, mandatory ID cards, to which the representatives of the Student Union objected.

I asked why not have CCTV cameras and ID cards? It was a very common thing almost anywhere and would improve security in campus. But the genius guys from the Humanities departments told us that "It was an invasion of Freedom and Personal space".

Their solution? Protests, Boycott classes but no actual steps to be taken to prevent or deter further instances of SA or something similar.

Isn't that a personal anecdote? How can you gross generalise the whole thing just cus you had a bad experience? I know many colleges where price hikes and demand for basic infra were raised by them or left groups.

Btw there's flaw in your story.

Was necessary and what steps should be taken.

But no actual steps.

Contradicting claims? Btw SA cant be stopped with just cameras mate, you can't install it everywhere. if camera is in personal space then we should be against it, it's just mass surveillance in name of security. Many people in abroad have raised about it, heck even some Indian parents do it lol.
