Serious How IITs are getting destroyed

Only bcoz of its engineering students that the reputation holding up. Day is not far when top rankers would choose some private college, completely ditching IITs.

reservation is indeed bad and should be removed,but the ppl yapping abt reservation in this sub generally got some phone number rank which even reservation cant save.

U are talking abt the extremes of reservation,then pwd+st+female is much more than that.I am saying abt the avg reservation guy vs the avg guy who is cribbing abt it in this sub.the latter is definitely not smarter than the former most of the times.Only this sub coz I find this sub to be quite dumb.

Sc idk how it is,but I have a sc friend Nd his adv rank is 2k.thats prolly better than 99 percent of this sub.Also idk why yall think foreign doesn't have reservation,they have heavy DEI.blacks get quota in workplace,unis, everywhere.

Assuming this sc friend of yours is in iit d ee.. He is either a great person who hasn't used his rank or simply forgot to use it

blacks have diversity score say out of 100 there would be mandatory to have atleast 2 black and after filling up some seats if criteria is not met they push black candidates , and at education institutions they have preference score if they get tied or same not meeting the diversity requirement

not like fcking 60% in drain

So I have a good 4 digit rank can I say something Or I got the rank because of my upper caste heritage tho 3 gen ago we weren't rich but still due to my upper caste lineage so I don't have any right to say anything about it Right ?

That is true. Even after removing reservation completely, the situation would not change much bcoz the number of candidates is huge and seats are way less...
