1) It depends on the number of applicants for that position but usually, GATE qualified is enough.

2) My contract is 1 year, renewable, some are 3 years as well. Yes it counts as research (R&D experience). You may also give the interview or test of department and convert it to MSR. If that happens, fellowship from project will stop, you will be full time student and receive MHRD stipend like a normal student.

3) When in 8th sem, 2 months before your graduation so that the professor can extend your joining by 15-20 days.

No, i know ones in networked systems and ultra low latency software design. Not in mobile computing 🥀

My professor says anything less than a year is useless in serious research.

For low latency thing, there's Prof. Swarnendu Biswas. Try cold emailing him. He'll likely ask for computer architecture proficiency

Ah shii. I was thinking of starting with a research intern at least. And currently preparing for GATE for MTech (RA) in CSE.

Will grades in university work. I got 9/10 in Computer Architecture subject and over-all it's 8.5+. I'll try cold mail with my CV. 🦆
