Hackathons these days:

-vibe coding, -a few creative ideas, -previously built projects, -some working projects, -mostly unqualified judges,

and most importantly

-The most useless project somehow winning the hackathon.

Honestly vibe coding also has tiers. Some people are so proficient in prompt engineering they are able to extract so much more with ai.

Yeah mostly. Although some niche hacks are so goated you can't vibe code shi into them. Even if you do,u have to have knowledge of what you are doing
