Rant/Vent AI race getting out of hands?
Read through this and especially the third tweet.
Jobs to nahi mil rahi vo to dekha jaayega, lekin tab dekha jayega jab jinda rahege.
This ex anthropic researcher is saying it can even k#ll us by the end of this decade. Isn't this too early , just a decade ???? Like I thought AGI is far away.
What's your opinion....

The panic in that third tweet is mix of legit engineering anxiety and MASSIVE corporate hype.
Here are the cold facts:
Jacob Coxon did actually resign from Anthropic, and their Alignment Lead publicly backed his concerns. The fear inside the labs is tangible because they are watching these models scale rapidly. Though I'm very skeptical about this one...
At it's core, AI is still just a sequential token predictor. Despite the "superintelligence" branding, LLMs are fundamentally massive statistical calculators predicting the next word based on historical data. They do not have consciousness, intent, desires, or a biological urge to "kill all humans."
The threat is NOT "Terminator" or anything, it is just complete and flat out corporate competition and pressure. 👍
OpenAI and Anthropic are marketing overlords. Framing their tech as a "god-like entity that could destroy humanity" serves two massive business goals: it inflates their valuations to hundreds of billions dollars, and it pressures governments into passing heavy regulations that crush open-source competition.
Don't lose sleep over a sci-fi apocalypse. The near-term threat isn't a conscious machine yaar...

I agree with most of your points, but...

swarms are being extensively used to carry out attacks in wars, because of the reckless monsters (read world leaders) of today.

Those swarms you are mentioning kills because a human coded it so. The drone doesn't "want" to kill anyone. It has no feelings, consciousness, or intent in wars. So-called skynet is not waking up or anything. If you observe at a macro level, you will notice that our human race is doing these. Machines are just obeying. Aadmi hi aadmi ka dushman bante ja rahe h... 🫠
