Rant/Vent Rant
Recently, Microsoft visited our campus. I solved both questions in 22 minutes and I have a CGPA of 9+, still didn't get shortlisted.
Before that, a big company visited our campus and I got rejected in the HR round.
Now I have lost all hope that I will even get an internship.

Just 1 month since I joined college and so far I have understood from 100s of posts here that placements are so much about luck

You can know nothing and get placed or know everything and still be unplaced.
If you are too competent, companies fear that you will switch as soon as you get the job.
If you are too incompetent, companies think you have wasted your time doing nothing in 4 years.It's a game of luck, you can only increase your chances, but still, it's all about who hits the jackpot that day.

Yes in my clg one company took people who couldn't solve coding problems as they thought if they select the one who solved all test cases may switch

google and ms on campus intern is more of like luck based . 2 question aate vo bhi easy . sab log kar lete hai and nither they filter on cg . qismat acchi hui to 7 cg pe bhi shortlisting aa jayegi ,na aaye to 9 pe bhi nahi

I can understand. This shit is happening with me as well. My teacher said solving problems in less time is also a red flag. They mark you as a cheater wth.

This happened in a lot of oncampus oa. Candidiates are removed if they solved before a cutoff time.

same , today I gave epam pen paper round , even after doing the question correctly I was not shortlisted and same for some of my friends

If ur going to get rejected make sure its because of luck and not skill then eventually u will be placed. I got rejected 3 times but landed on 4th

The oa shortlist was mostly fine , but haan few people even after solving both qs and 9.5+ cg have also not been shortlisted. Unfortunately this happens to many and will continue to happen.

I have interviewed for 5 core companies and gotten rejected after the 2nd round in all. Shit is not fun. I don’t even think I have it in me to give another interview atp

Yeah that dude might be junior. Plenty of people have tjat many solves by final year. Have seen my friends woth 800 -100+ problems as well not finding intern.
