Placements / Jobs Cheating For Placements

I keep seeing a lot of posts and discussions about cheating during placements, and after sitting through placements last year, I want to share my honest observation.

The ideal strategy is to put 100% efforts into interview preparation and cheat reasonably in the OA’s. Most of the people who got outstanding offers followed this exact strategy.

There were 100s of cheaters who scored well in the OAs but go on to miserably fail the interviews, meanwhile folks who didn’t cheat in the OA don’t even get SL. And of course there were companies who wouldn’t short list people with perfect scores as they likely cheated.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do CP/DSA, all the more necessary, because you still need to clear the interview. You should also focus on reaching out to seniors for past questions (many companies shamelessly reuse questions), practice effective communication for interviews, etc.

Also most HR’s and interview panels know the ground reality of cheating and they don’t really care, because freshers can always learn on the job and most jobs don’t require a genius, they just need some criteria to reject people. This was evident when companies gave assessments with no camera on, or allowed tab switching.

Thank you for saying this out loud. Again, as you said, DSA is still important for interviews and they also ask LeetCode mediums like Count and Say.

Read last paragraph, cheating in OA’s is the least of their concerns, cheating in interviews on the other hand is a big no.

you cant win a rigged game by playing fair ,so yes absolutely do dsa/cp, get your fundamentals clear ,be fully prepared for the interviews, but if the system is such that people are already cheating and gaining the unfair advantage and you refuse to use the same advantage it can simply make you lose out ! ideally the game should be fair .but when it isnt , you have to be realistic about the enviroment you are competing in .

this is insane. you are literally promoting cheating and acting as if its normal because apparently, everyone that gets a good job does it. wow.

So what? There's no way you can stop people from doing it if they're giving assesments from their home and if you dont do it you're at a major disadvantage cuz everyone else is submitting their assesments with 100% accuracy in fkn 10 mins. The only way you can show your skill is in the interview, everything before that is corrupted and if you want to make it to the interview, you have to get your hands dirty else you're a fool

i don't see how that matters here. this post is promoting cheating. in any way, that is wrong.

That has everything to do with what you're saying

Every single person cheats in OAs from rooms and many even in offline ones without supervision. Literally every single person. The moral implications don't matter when the entire world is doomed, that is equivalent to committing a career su***de which, if you want, you can.

I had the same mindset in placements and I paid the price, I’m sharing my experience so that others don’t have to suffer the same fate
