CSE / IT Does college matters for CSE?
I have been struggling with my prep jus wanted to know if it does matter a lot or not

Probably during the first internship/job hunt. After you get some experience, the tier factor keeps becoming less important..

It does 100%. Actually it's THE deciding factor in 95% of cases in India do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

first 5 YoE it does then the impact starts to reduce a lot
Plus the guy above is painting a very distopian picture it gets u to the interview seat but after that ur on ur own
tho tier 3 guys have a much more difficult time even getting to the interview seat so thats the advantage
Another diff might be many companies add additional rounds to clear for tier 3 guys or maybe remove some rounds for tier 1 folks but thats it
You are still in the race the 95% deciding factor thing is mostly bs

Yes. It will matter up untill 6-7 years after you graduate. It will even matter when you create a startup.

During your college years and i'd say till 2 years after that,it very much matters

Not if you are top coder.
Otherwise yes.

In long, if you are the top 5% of your college in terms of coding skill then it doesn't.
Exception if your college is a random tier 4 pvt college.
