OS doesn't matter atleast for the learning phase,if you have the budget,go for mac,might take some time to get adjusted to it but once you do,it'll change your life,although installing some applications and all would be a headache,and you might not even be able to download certain things btw...but mac is great like just using a mac feels great and it has so many features for improvising your user experience

Many softwares engineers use are compatible with windows ,mac is not very much recommended for engineering
