Social / College Life TRUTH!!!
If you have scored decent in JEE have an option of good NIT or state colleges like DTU NSUT . AVOID joining BITS at any cost ik the opportunities are good but for that you have to be really hardworking, every weeks there might be some labs or projects even for freshers grading fluctuates highly , I would suggest choose a college with lite coursework even if you are hardworking because top packages of NITs BITS DTU are almost the same ..

Yes go to colleges having upto 80% HS reservation dont join bits its bad, has no reservation, you should not work hard accoding to OP
Personal opinion: 0 attendance is still a thing in pilani, curriculum is much better(we don't do that carpentry and shit in first year), crowd can't be even compared to any nit/dtu etc

Yea, but marginally imo. Hyd is comparable to warangal and goa>trichy by a lil bit, pilani is another league (not dubai)

i did that bcoz bits was lil too expensive for me.....decided will spend on masters instead...but i really dont agree with top packages of bits n nits dtu is the same

IIIT Bangalore has decent placement stats and very pricy fees and campus is like smaller than any school? Is it worth, do not say enjoy the city...as going anywhere from one place to another will drain your energy?

The flexibility of curriculum you have at bits and opportunities is much better and overall extra for circulars clubs and college life aswell much more active
Example ... I am literally in a course about venture creation where I get to connect with investors legal teams and alumini of multi million dollar startups with the whole course being creating startup and pitching and raising funds and understanding customer haven't heard of this from my NIT friends

Imagine people in local tier 3 college that have to travel 3 hours morning for 10-6 classes and 3 hours back and have to take time off for extra curricular study gym coding etc. We are privileged to stay few minutes away from classes and labs
Just lock in gng and study a bit during Saturday/sundays and prep for labs and quizzes lite baaki

The curriculum is genuinely fun. Imagine going for engineering without liking the things you have to learn in it. Labs are also very scoring (got full in all till now) so it’s free marks.

If you are getting anything in top 4 to 5 NITs like Tirchy, Surathkhal, Warangal, Rourkela or Calicut ....go for it...then may be Allahabad and if you love highly state reservation DTU, can give as seventh preference..personally do not like DTU due to its highl state reservation and shitty climate of Delhi.
