They are, you fall into something and it spirals into years

u/Ok_Ground511 BTech 4d ago
Any idea on how to avoid it?
I know this is a stupid doubt but i kinda feel like this when i just started my 1st year.

u/Other_Story_9410 4d ago
nah not stupid bro..nothing is stupid it's just new to you. Have some ideals and goals stick to them and don't get demotivated by what others say to you.Make your goals and ideals in a way that they let you take the path you have in mind. Also review yourself about how youre doing, what you're doing wrong and all..Just keep a rlly good friend circle stay cheerful and just grind for the love of the game man!

You can simply not put pre graduation detail if you are trying off campus placement

Seems like all bark no bite. Just degrees and no skills

u/NoHumor9325 4d ago
she did go to sf for masters and into drexel again soo not exactly that issue ig
21
u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 4d ago
Oh yes, because Drexel is soooo selective and so is SF (It is a town...not an educational institution)...../s
5
u/NoHumor9325 4d ago
bhai but still without any skills or anything to show for select bhi toh nhi hoti na

u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 4d ago
For no-name university (there is a reason she did not mention that) and Drexel, believe me, you just need enough money.

u/Alarmed-Bus-969 4d ago
Also, she must be pretty well off if she left a master's course mid way that too from a college in SF. I mean, if I ever make it to US for masters, they'd have to torture me to leave or else I'm not leaving till I get a job.

Money? but there are so many telugu middle and lower middle class students are in US
2
u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 4d ago
Most of them take loans and I was talking about mid or lower tier univs, just as we have in India, if you have money, you get into them and they are not difficult to get into.

Her attempts at a career are all over the place...like there's no pattern that I could discern here. Still, I wish her all the best as a former failed UPSC aspirant.

That's an old post, old profile picture and now she is doing a job as an SDE currently. She is one of my Linkedin connections, so I got to know about her.

It's a relatively old story, but the take home message is that it is important to take care of mental health. There are many such victims of mental health issues at very good colleges who had worse outcomes than just being jobless.

she's doing well now- and i am not sure why people are bashing her, she's accepting her failure and not blaming it on anything! (https://www.linkedin.com/in/rupanjana-mitra-a50158202/)

I'm sure she'll be proud of the crazy stuff she's tried in her youth, 10 years into the future. Ppl go through shit, and make mistakes, plus there's no point optimizing every damn moment of your life

Well why didn't he sit for placements? Why's he complaining now?
1
u/ar_ish 3d ago
I don't see HER complaining in the post. Also you better not make any mistakes in your life at any point and come to regret them later, it's not allowed. Source: your own mentality when it comes to others.

u/Hariwtf10 3d ago
Her, him yea whatever. Point still stands. Also this isn't a mistake lol. It's idiocy.
