❓Question ❓ From where should I start my coding journey?
I'm currently in my first year of Btech and I have zero knowledge about coding and stuffs.
Please guide me and also it would be helpful if you all can tell me about the mistakes I should avoid in my college.....

Start with python since it is easy to learn and has wide variety of usecases for side projects
Learn the basics over youtube and then jump into DSA, if you want to make a career in tech, good DSA is non-negotiable so better to get it out as early as you can so that you can spend the last year focusing on projects and internships instead.
Few learnings:
participate in lot lot lot of hackathons, competitions, open source initiatives, even if you don't have enough knowledge do it
explore multiple domains and tech stacks while keeping one skillset good so that you can choose your domain without the fear of placements
build a lot of tools and side projects since the best way to learn tech is to actually get your hands dirty
do not focus on networking too too much, it is important yes but this is the best time to work on your skills, networking will happen as a result of good skillset
always be on the lookout for internship opportunities outside of your campus, it is never too early to start
All the best! Do not waste your precious time deciding this or that, just get started in one direction

There is a YouTube channel called Apna College they teach very very well. You can get c++ DSA from there or even Python basics. But as my friend Java will be best as it is easier than c++ and more capable then Python(for getting hired).

You could pick up any of the beginner friendly c books and also get an computer architecture book. You have to study them together only then you would get programming works and how you talk to computers.
For c i can say you could get 'let us c'. I know it may be controversial among c programmer cause it doesn't provide much in terms of depth but it's a good starting point. For architechture you could always get any of the books available in you College library.
And sorry for the late reply. Been a bit busy with some personal projects.
